Another tint question...

How much are you guys paying for non-metalic tint and felt?

I've asked around several places in San Diego and $450 is the cheapest I found for F1 Pinnacle and felt.

I'm seriously considering going up to LA to Steve's place if it means saving $150. (I think I read on the forum that he did the tint and felt for $299.) But with gas prices these days, I don't know if its worth it.

Anyways, how much did you guys pay for non-metallic tints and felt?

I bought the moleskin kit off here for $30 and did it myself. If I can do it, you can do it yourself as well. Take you an hour tops to do all 4 windows. I'm getting F1 Pinnacle 15% all the way around next Saturday along with the front windshield strip for $240 cash here in FL.

Another option would be 3M CS film. For more info, click here

3M is a leader in creating technologically-advanced window films. Our latest achievement is the creation of premium Color-Stable automotive window films that hold their color, are high heat rejecting and don't interfere with your satellite signals. All Color-Stable films come with a limited lifetime warranty, which includes color stability. No purple windows. Guaranteed!

While most other window film companies buy their polyester from someone else, 3M makes its own polyester in Decatur, Alabama. During this process, 3M patented a technology for producing its own nano-carbon polyester. This revolutionary and unique process, allows for maximum heat rejection without metals, which can interfere with radio and/or satellite signals. It also gives our films a beautiful neutral black look with unpararell color stability. Never before has anyone done this. In fact, it's so advanced that in time-based tests, 3M Color-Stable Auto Film held its color while most conventional dyed films rapidly changed to a purple color. No purple windows. Guaranteed!

We stand behind our work. Color-Stable films are backed by a limited lifetime warranty, which includes color stability.

Look for the 3M print mark on Color-Stable films, it is your assurance of authenticity. You know that your car features authentic 3M Color-Stable Auto Film when you see the 3M print mark on the window itself.
