Driving to Madison I came upon a couple of kids in an SHO. They wanted to race so we took off at around 75. I was surprised that it was no contest, it went down faster than the 2 previous wrx's. TL 4-0 . 2 wrx's, one E320 and one SHO. I just need to add a 330 and a g35 to my kill list for complete satisfaction. Any takers?????

yesterday I got out of dealership and at lights i'm in middle lane... on my left I have fixed up black civic and on my right some red car, didn't care to see until he raced me... so when the light turned green... only the red car raced me... I killed it and it was old MAZDA RX-7....... and guy gave me smile at the next light.

 

are you sure that you beat wrx's?? They are pretty fast. as fast as M3's... i havent straigh out raced anyone in the TL, but i have raced wrx's in my grandpas 911 turbo and one of them was pretty fast. I usually dont floor the 911 tho, the 415 lbs torque at 3500 rpms is pretty cool. Im gonna try to race the 911 (driving in reverse) vs the TL up to 40 mph, i think it would be close.

 

They are fast from a stop but not at highway speeds. From 0 they can probably make the TL bait, from a roll they lose every time. The Sti , that's another story:p

 

ahhh, i thought u were talkign about beating Sti's...

One of the biggest surprises i got was from a modded Sti, i though i would toast it easily but it kept up for much longer than most other cars. I think its pretty cool how a 30k car can keep up with a 120k car. Ive only been beaten by a modded Mustang Cobra, and a Dodge Viper when ive been in my grandpas car; lots of respect for american muscle, but they dont have a chance in twists and turns. Sti's are cool, but i wish theyd make it look nicer and with less plastic.

agreed...its all fun and games until someone ends up in a body bag. there are tracks where you can take the car and do this safely.

 

Don't sell the Viper short, stock for stock it will smoke a 996TT on the track! Porsche also has a cheaper/faster track car the 996 GT3!

The SHO is a no contest race against the TL. Had it given you a run we'd have to wonder whats wrong with your car.

 

Yeah and we get it, esp. after you've spammed threads with this. Some will choose to get on the gas whether you complain about it or not.

 

What's so great about Rusciano and caball88 is that they can't stand the curiosity. They read a thread title like "Glued to a 5-series bumper" or "Another Kill" and they can't stay out.

If you don't like short-race stories, you might consider staying out of those threads.

 

often where i live i get kids with these old hondas with a pipe and intake that want to race i just let them go not worth the ticket but everyonce in a while i will run ive raced three times you will laugh at the first i had the vsa on and some sort of pontiac like a grandprix but not as nice maybe a sunfire or something well he jumped the redlight i waited floored it, saw the vsa light come on and said fuck it so i stopped at about 50 and got behind him the next light turned red we stopped i put my window down and told him to wait till green, he yelled over i did what i had to to get ahead...the light was ready to turn green i was revvin my car up no vsa on.. blew him off the road..comin back from the airport some mits elicpse started jumping his car next to me we were going about 55 i as usual ignored him.. i could tell two young kids...well they did not let up i slowed down to 40 just to let them know i did now want to race well they slowed down, thier window down they kept waving their hands to go well i did i jumped one time they took off and i left them way behind..i got up to about 125 or so my friend was freaking out i slowed way down let them catch up then started jumpin my car hah hah...jjay slv sixspeed nav 18"rims spoiler
