Ambient Lighting - Change to white?

I love the white and blue combination of the lighting in the TL, but I must say that I really do not like the idea of blue ambient lighting. If it were up to me, all the lighting would be the cool white. So is there a way to replace the ambient litghting bulbs (LED or whatever) to white from blue? I think this would be great, please let me know! If not, I'm sure that there would be something aftermarket soon enough. What do you guys think of this idea.

I don't want to speak for the majority of people here, but I think the blue has to be better looking lightning of any color.......

I think that is very true....additionally it is a soft color so that there is gentle lighting that is not so bright that it disturbs our driving at night. I think white would be distracting, and it would look as though you were always driving with your map light on

Talking

I just think that the blue (in the ambient lighting) looks cheesy for a car of this stature. I would prefer a cool white light. Blue looks good in the gauges and dash tho! Maybe a cross between the Blue and White in the ambient. JUST PLEASE HELP ME GET RID OF THE BLUE IN THE AMBIENT!

Cheesy? I guess it's all matter of taste. Everyone that has rode in my car comments on the blue ambient lighting. Not obnoxious like bunch of neons inside of dropped honda. Also very good on the eyes while on the road at night.

For switching, I suppose this should be relatively easy. Try the screwdriver??

We are talking about the blue pinpoint lights that are adjacent to the maplights....the ones that shine down onto the cup holder area.

BMW uses an Amber light (guess where Acura got the idea for ambient light from). Amber looks nice, but I must say that I prefer the blue

I really don't like the amber/ red lights on the BMW ambient and dials, I'm glad Acura chose this cool blue color!

it's very subtle and luxurious.
I wish there were courtesy lights on the back doors too.

I believe Audi does the same thing too but in red.

just change the LED's to white in the overhead. It should be an easy swap. There are some good white LED's out there now, try 6,000mcd for the light output rating, if you want to swap the blues with white.
