Aluminum Grille

I have a weird question.

The aluminum grille, the one under the "A" that's kind of shaped like a "V", it goes up to meet the aluminum grille on the hood.

When you push it with your finger is it supposed to be a little loose? The part directly above the license plate frame.
Can someone check to see if this is how it is on their TL.
Thanks.

Can someone please just run outside and see if this is how their TL is? Someone backed up into me today. There's no physical damage. At least I don't see any. But now I think that aluminum grille part is loose.

Mine had a touch of give in it. It certainly wasn't flapping in the breeze. I think you're fine.

Same here. It is not loose but if you press it with your finger it has a slight give to it.

Mine does the same, it was actually sticking out. So I pushed it back in. Weird.

Thanks for the replies.
If there isn't any physical damages you can see than there shouldn't be any hidden damages right?
I think it was tapped maybe at 5mph or maybe less; the front bumper.

i think thats normal, that part of the grill is not held on with screws. it's actually a clip on piece. the other two pieces of the grill are screwed on though.
