Alternator replacement 2008 TL base...

Can I remove the steering reservoir like I did in my 03 10 months ago or do I need to remove the fan? Here is what I did last year. Same I have 11,8V with car running today. https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1...ement-1001618/
Here is Video from TRQ

Last year I had to drive without alternator working for 1m to get home and when stopped battery showed 12,5v. Today I had to drive around 3m and the battery showed 12,37V. Both times I was lucky that it happened close to home. These days I mostly use TL to drive to 32 miles away job site. Get lucky it didn't happened at way there.

Dont have to remove the fan. Just move the PS reservoir out of the way.

Actually, right like 10 min before the battery light turned on, I did hear light whining from the engine department. I heard it because otherwise the car is very quiet.

Done. I had to remove the fan but it wasn't a big deal. Alternator is from U-pull. 43$ or so. When the car started it was 14,4V across battery posts. I drove around for 1 hour or so and no problems. Edit as said in directions at this forum you need to punch in that sleeve where lower bolt goes so to slide alternator in its place.

holy crap. Mine died at 150k. 340 probably means it wasn’t OEM.
