alibaster vs. satin silver??

Hi guys, newbie here. Plan on purchasing an 06 this spring. As you well know, the color choices are limited (to say the least) and since I'm wide open to color choices can anyone describe or direct me to something that illustrates the difference between satin and alibaster silver (if there IS a difference!) Thanks in advance...

The difference is very subtle. Try looking up car colours on the Honda and Acura sites. Chances are you will not really notice the difference.

IIRC, Satin Silver Metallic was the "silver" for 2004 and 2005 TLs; Alabaster Silver is the only "silver" for 2006. When they first started hitting the showrooms, someone posted that they saw the two next to each other and couldn't tell the difference. My guess is that Alabaster is either more-VOC friendly or, hopefully for 2006 owners, more chip-resistant.

Was at the dealer yesterday. They had the new silver on the floor. Thought it might be just a little bit lighter and brighter than the old silver.

That's exact what I thought when I saw the new 2006 at my local dealer. It's definitely a shade lighter.

Silver is really the perfect car color...It looks great, it's gender indifferent and it's low maintenance!! That's probably why there are so many silver cars.

My TL is black and there are many days that I wish I went with silver. IMO, black tends to hide the lines of the car. I actually think the TL looks best in white....looks "thicker" and you can see every nook and cranny of the awesome design; day or night. Sometimes I think the overall shape as well as the styling accents are lost on my black TL. My next one will NOT be black!!

Satin Silver has some blue in it. Whereas Alabaster silver does not.

Yep, thats pretty much why I got white. Silver is nice, but a lot of the details are sortof lost...like the grill in front. I never even noticed the carbon in the rear license area until I saw it contrasted on my white.
