it wont void your warranty. but if something happen to your car and if it relates to Remoter starter then yes. For example, if your car wont start . Dealer will blame on remote starter first thing and go on after that. MEchanic never like after market system install on any car, they will find anything to blame on aftermarket. good luck.
haha thats funny cause my dealer is offering to install a aftermarket remote start for $500. i asked them... just a remote start? yes. how far could i start it? up to 300 feet. told them no thanks. i would get a compustar instad.
sitting in the waiting area since my car was in service. saw a aftermarket demo remote starter inside the clear glass cage. never heard of the brand at all. some made in china brand and all it needs is some chinese letters to top it off.
it will not void your warranty of the WHOLE car.

Viper 771XV alarm/remote start
I got the Viper 771XV installed last week and so far it work good. My only complaint is the range on the remote start it is about 1300 feet. Which is ok but I would like better range. The installer did a great job it cost a total of $624.00 with tax. It is a 2-way paging system that lights up and sends audible notifications to the remote when the car is started and the doors are unlocked/locked the trucnk is opened or the alarm goes off. If you are out of range to strat the car or unlock the doors the remote will light up and sound an audible alert that you are out of range. I choose this model because the installer suggested this kind beacuse the LCD displays can crack easily on other remotes.
