Airbags

How hard is it to replace side curtain airbags? And the one in the driver seat I'd imagine just find a good seat at a junk yard.
And do I need to clear any codes?

TIA

You will need to drop and replace the headliner (assuming the liner is damaged by the B-pillar) to replace the curtain airbag

Easiest way to do the seat, is replace the top half with a junk yard seat.

You will also need to replace the seat belt with the airbag module as well.

You will also have to reset the SRS unit or you can replace it. You can also send out the seat belt to have it rebuilt.

Best of luck! If you need any suggestions, you can post some pictures of the damages.

Is there any frame damage that needs to be repaired? It may be cheaper to move your mods to another TL and part out your crashed one.

Airbag computer needs to be reset, there are a few places online that offer the service but you have to send the airbag module in. You'll need either new seatbelts or your old ones rebuilt. Myairbags.com does both and has some good reviews from the guys on youtube such as samcrac.

The seat you can swap from another TL, just make sure if you have a 2004 you get an 04 seat. If you have an 05-06 get that seat. If you have 07-08 get that seat.

The '05/6 double-stitched seats are better than the '04's single-stitched ones. They should bolt right in.
