Aftermarket Parts
Anyone else frustrated over the lack of aftermarket parts? Even though the TL is a fairly new model, it hasn't the amount of parts, let's say, the RSX has (I know it's an older model). I'm guessing it's the popularity/affordability factor, but c'mon the market is so limited. I'm sure it's all about the $$, but no less frustrating. Not looking for debate, and I know Acura has it's A-spec kit etc., and there are a few limited mods, but seeing a lot more TLs out there lately, and looking for that opportunity to personalize that doesn't seem to be out there.

I think part of it is because the TL was not marketed to be a modded car... From what I can gather (and this is only my opinion) the TL was marketed as a luxury sedan with performance... not a performance sedan with luxury. The difference is that the overall impression of the typical TL driver is (Dad who likes faster cars but needs something for the family) or (car bought for mom, or wife, for safety features and size) If you look at the TSX and the RSX, they were both designed for the younger generation that is more heavily into modding than the TL crowd....
Personally, I think they were just a little bit off. The TL crowd has a good following of guys who were the Integra type modders (yes this is me) who have now gotten older and have more money, so they want to do the same thing to better cars... It is almost as if we progressed faster than the market...
Just a thought... but lets see what others say.....

I think we're pretty good though given the market.
4+ Different suspension setups
3 Different Bodykits
3 Different Intakes
2 Different Rear Stability Bars
2 Different Aluminum Pedals
2 Different Camber Kits
1 Illuminated Door Sills
1 Front Stability Bar
1 Exhaust
1 Supercharger
1 Short Throw Shifter
I'm probably missing something

I know this probably plays havoc with our sponsors, but can we compile a list of who puts out what items? I think it would help out everyone if there was a post of some sort.

Uh, we don't have rear strut bars...and if you mean RSB's, who makes one besides CT? Who makes an aftermarket front strut bar?
Also, I don't believe the 2G was marketed as a performance car with luxury, and it's market definitely wasn't the tuner crowd. The reason it had aftermarket parts was because it had a Japanese counterpart.

I think when he said stock he meant A-Spec.
And btw, the way the car comes is not a "body kit" in my book. By that logic, everyone would have a "body kit", it would just be the stock fenders/bumpers what not.

jmb - didn't misunderstand at all, and I agree...to a point...the 2G has tons of aftermarket parts, where the 3G doesn't...they were marketed the same, though, so why do the 2G guys get parts and we don't? Because the 2G has a counterpart in Japan - the Inspyre.
Body kits = ASPEC, RonJon, the one off Bodykits.com (the 2F2F fiberglass POS...do a search, it's been discussed).
Intakes = AEM, Injen, K&N, Weapon R, Fujita

Strut bar? I said Stability bar
and the other company that makes the rear and front bar is H&R, comptech just makes the rear.
Bodykits - Aspec, Ronjon, and bodykits.com or whatever crap
Suspension - (Tein, Eibach, H&R, Comptech, maybe Neuspeed)
