If you search, you will find many threads that discuss this EXACT same topic. I will sum it up, however.

The answer is, it depends. If your hands free link goes out, they will be hard pressed to attribute that to the AEM.

If you seize the motor by sucking water up, or hydrolocking, then yes, they will not warranty that.

yeah man, you gotta use your head on this one.

just like streese said, you hit a deep puddle and you see your RPM's go to zero, game over..

but if you worry about that the whole time you have it in your car you'll never enjoy it..

It really depends on the dealer. And it like was said it depends on what breaks. They have to prove that the part installed caused the problem with your vehicle. Also see the Magnusson Moss Act.

Well, the first time i got the subwoofers in the dealership said the warranty is voided for the speakers, and they said if i get the cold air intake than the engine warranty is voided. they said if i get anything after- market than it would void my engine warranty and stuff like that..
thank you guys,

You need a new dealer(service dept.).........Acura of Serramonte was handing me the same B.s.Then I went to Mike Harvey Acura, and they have not said anything about my mods, two visits one for warranty work (rattles).
Try to find a dealer that also is a comptech dealer, then you should be ok.Some are more mod friendly than others....

didnt know gay's were anti-mods lol

but like the other guys said before it depends. my service dept doesnt trip about the mods (as long as the mod is not the direct cause of your problem). what you should do if you do have a problem is remove the CAI and take it to another dealership.

there is a law that protects you. Baisicly it sttes that they the dealer have to be able to prove that the modification to your car is what caused the failure. If they can, then they can void the warranty
Magnusson Moss Act.

Uhh guys I have a thread on this exact topic a few wks ago.....

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ty+void+intake

I am still trying to get to the bottom of the solution so basically my story is to be continued...

For the most part I will tell ya, it's all luck. Most dealers won't be jerks but if a particular dealer wants to screw with you he can. And yes they can void your warranty WITHOUT explaining a direct cause. These dorks are linking my bushings to my intake?!?!? Believe it!

None of this will stop me though, I'm leaving my intake on my car!
