No. I bought a 2008 with 33 miles and was offered 5/60 for 1020 and thought that wasn't that good.

Then again I'm not into warranties.

I would wait till your car is as close to 4 years old or 50,000 miles as possible, because that warranty starts from the date you buy it. I paid $1500 for mine at the time so anything less is a good deal IMHO. Just don't go over 4 years from in service date or 50,000 miles because then you won't be able to buy the acuracare warranty.

last year acura changed its rule and banned online sales- you can still take it to the dealer and get extra warranty

Contract can be written many ways- suckers get the one that doesnt cover you better than warranty and starts right away- others get one that starts at 50 and goes to 100
regardless of when purchased
Warranty on a TL is important- some expensive things tend to fail right after the 12/12 warranty- then you are left with the engine trans smog equip warranty
Better safe than out 4 grand on a trans fail or electrical- nav unit- power windows and assorted hard to reach parts problem

I own an 01- our gen has the severe auto trans failure prob which carried into gen3
Thats 4 thousand dollars when out of warranty!!!!!! or $2500 at rebuilder shops locally

My new motto is `dont buy a used acura without full warranty till after I plan to own it`

manager makes a few bucks,, but got an extra deal closed before the last day of the month...get it?
they can sell it anywhere up to $1500--whatever they can get- its totally negotiable!
Less people involved means lower price

 

They reversed that decision, you can still buy Honda & Acura warranties online. I believe Florida and California have state laws which require the warranties be bought in state.
