My friend has a Dodge Ram Nightrunner edition, and we always race around, but i was just wondering should I be faster than him?

its funny to see you ask this. my dad has the Ram SRT-10 with the viper engine and he pretty much spanks my tl-s, lol. that thing has a ton of torque. im not familiar with the night runner edition.

I believe the nightrunner is just a sport appearance package for the regular 5.7L Hemi Ram, which a TL should beat convincingly. they are far too heavy. they pull great off the line, but you'll real him in quickly and pass him rather easily.

no you should not win the night runner edition is actually the one with the Viper engine in it, the reason its named night runner is because its 4-door instead of 2 and there was only 254 made.

If he has the viper's engine in it, he will win for sure. Otherwise, you should win.

5.7's are slow i raced them in my 02 type-s and my 04 tl from a dig and roll and beat them every single time

the night runner edition has the SRT-10 engine thats enough to beat a TL rust me those things are fast some guy where i work has one hes told me he does 7.7 on the 1/8 mile.

i dont know what to say to that really...are u sure its the night runner edition? does it look like the pic above? the reason i ask is because i know that there were only 254 made and that all 254 had the SRT-10 but at the same time im not 100% sure im more or less 95ish% sure.

So, based on that, the SRT-10 can be a Nightrunner. Now, can the 5.7 be a Nightrunner too??
With a chip and exhaust, a SRT-10 apparently can run a 13.0 (5,800lbs)

lol i was just checking out the Ciper alley forums right now lol hahahah funny. and yes thats what im still wondering can the 5.7 model be a night runner as well? i eman why would they only make 254 of them if they were going to make two types the one with the SRT-10 and the regular one? the only explanation i can think of is that maybe the 254 made were the ones with the SRT-10 and thats why they only made 254 of them it was sort of a special edition? but why would they both have the same name at the same time, if it was a special edition it would have its own name right? hmmmmmmm ima have to research this when i home im now very interested in knowing the truth.

You can get a Nightrunner edition with either the hemi or the viper (srt10). Its just an appearance package

Srt-10 night runner... forget about it. Hemi 5.7 night runner, you'll blow it away. I owned a 2005 Hemi 5.7 ram sport package and although it went well for a truck, it would not even touch my '92 legend coupe
