Acura TL Type-S in Europe

I have a 2008 TL Type-S with 6MT. Has anyone shipped their TL Type-S to Europe and driven it there? Did you have any problems with the gasoline?

Thank you.

Dan

you wouldn't have any problem with gas in europe...it might be even hard to find 93 octane..a lot of places sell 96 octane gas..

You have the 6MT type-s, you got passion. Very good.

The member TLFourPlay (don't know if I spelled it right) took one and he drives in Autobahn and cruise at 150 mph. He said he may go to Italy too, to do some show off. When he drives by a lof of europeans go .

Show off those Italians... LOL.

True.....95 - 98 octane is the norm in Europe. That should solve the TL-S ping!

haha, yea navi won't work unless you get a disk from an accord and it actually works...otherwise that's very unique there.

You shouldn't have a problem with gas even though they measure octane differently in the EU. RON vs. our RON+MON average.

In any case, as our European TL envoy, keep it nice and clean!

Driving the Acura TL type S in Europe

First, I wish to thank you all for the information and for the encouragement. I obtained a shipping quote for the car, and it costs $1720 to ship the car from Phoenix to Rotterdam.

Some of my friends told me to sell the car here, and buy something else there, but I don't want to do that. Cars are more expensive in Europe, and I am quite happy with the TL-S.

It appears that my car will soon take a bite from the Autobahn at 150 MPH...

i would rather pay for the shipping then selling and buying another car... big loss of money..

TL's are a real head turner there and they stand out. Issue is that if you ever want to sell it there you might have a problem with demand. Most of the folks over there want to go there and buy a German luxury car through AAFES for cheap money. You can get great deals as well as avoid sales tax.

In the states yes, but there are great buying incentive programs for the American Military Community in Europe that can easily erase any losses.
