Acura TL 3G (2004-2008) CV Axle Replacement

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know the difference between a
2004-2006 Acura TL Drive Shaft Assembly Left Driver side (44306-SDD-A00)
and
2007-2008 Acura TL Drive Shaft Assembly Left Driver side (44306-SEP-A10)

Are they essentially the same part? If not, what is the difference between them? I am trying to replace my driver side cv axle and was able to find a cheap oem 2005 acura tl driver left cv axle that I want to use to replace my driver left cv axle on my 2008 acura tl. Thank you.

Different part number means different part. Buy your year specific part and install it. Don't buy one because it was cheap, most likely won't fit!

They have different transmissions between the 04-06 and the 07-08 so the axles are going to be different as well..

I got mine from rockauto. Best prices! Don't go with rebuilt ones.

Which brand did you go with?

I've held off replacing my clicking axles for over 2 years!
Insaneshaft axles were what I was looking at but shipping to Canada is what kills the deal.

Just one data point here, I put new DuraLast axles on my TL in May and I cannot recommend them. I'll be yanking them in favor of a set of new OEM axles in a few months.

some time I buy aftermarket parts but Axle and steering rack and pinion isn't on that list, I strictly use OEM or OEM supplier if possible.

I do as well, however, a fellow AZ member had a set of brand new DuraLast axles he was selling for $100. I took the gamble the Duralast units would work well; I lost that gamble.

Not much on AZ Duralast produts, but $500 for a couple OEM half-shafts pretty steep price. I'd buy a couple from RockAuto for $100 (lifetime warranty) and keep the present units for backups in case you need to return the new units for any reason.

Rockauto has different brands at different times. Haven't had a problem.

The Duralast axles have a lifetime warranty as well. The fact is, I want smooth axles, and if $500 will do the job, then it is a bargain.
