Acura survey on TL purchase
I just recently purchased a used certified 2004 TL from an Acura dealer. Just wanted some thoughts on this.
There is a few points where I want to complain, mostly the fact that they didn't give me any mats, when I remember seeing them the first day i test drove it. I'm guessing someone stole them. But they keep insisting that they were never there. I am complaining, but they are taking forever to reply. I wanted the report on the inspection which they still havent given me (want to see % of breaks, etc)
Other than that the experience was pretty good.
However, I read that somoene gave the survey great reviews and ended up getting free tints. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Or has anyone complained and got a reply on how to resolve an issue?

if the car is certified and you bought it from an Acura dealership... i don't know why they wouldn't give you at least the basic floor mats...
yes if you complain you will more than likely get a response because if they care to make you satisfied, they will listen to your issue and try to resolve it... its not like you are asking for a full winter package here...

and to be honest, and I know its different here in Canada, they barely budged on the selling price, and all I got out of it was 4 winter rims for free (worth approx. $300).
You would figure they would throw in the mats to keep the customer satisfied.

These surveys are used by Honda for Customer Service rating purposes. If you need an issue resolved you should really talk to your salesperson.
Regardless if mats were on your car or not when you test drove it, they should have been provided.
I also have an 04 which had no mats or navi manual, i asked for and recieved both from the dealership. Be stern with them, there is a joke at the dealership that whenever I come in all the salesman hide because nobody wants to deal with me...I get what I want!! Do you need me to go down there with you??? LOL

Actually, I already bought the winter mats and installed them since it already started snowing here. I was just wondering when it comes time for summer, it would've been nice, considering the car cost 22,500$.

my thoughts exactly, i had to pay extra because it was white (really rare to find) and with navigation. they usually go for 19,500$ here (Montreal, Quebec).

Sounds like you got a pretty good deal. I got a white 04 non-navi TL from an Acura dealer in Toronto back in July. It's a 6-speed manual, had 68K (kilometers, not miles) and the Aspec body kit. I paid $25k. It came with brand new TL embroidered mats which are supposed to be part of the "Acura certified pre-owned performance vehicle" package. I'd demand them from the dealer.
Good luck with the car and welcome to AcuraZine

^ lol, i got two movie tickets, the salesman made it clear that I needed to bring in the survey and fill it out with him though. That is how they get people to give all perfect answers...

Yeah, sounds like a lot now but I guess the 3G TL's have depreciated somewhat since the release of the 4g's. I should mention that I got them to include an extended bumper to bumper warranty that covers me for another 3 years and up to 160,000 kms

Cars are cheaper on the east coast of canada too haha wow west coast canadians just get raped by the prices of cars. But we got no salt on our cars so I guess thats a plus. I paid 23.5 for 05 SSM 6 speed no-navi, WITH FLOOR MATS, and a extra set of stock rims with winter tires mounted and balanced. With 90km. And this was private sale too. At the dealership it would be around 26ish, with probably no way to negotiate down.

If it's certified they should have given you the summer mats that match the carpet. I have the all-weather mats, and they work well, but if I lived anywhere in Canada east of BC I would get the Weather Tech floor liners. They now make them for 3G TLs:
