Acura Sets Sales Record For Fourth Straight Month...
Torrance, Calif. 03/02/2004 -- Continuing its record-breaking streak for the fourth consecutive month, Acura posted February sales of 15,155 vehicles, shattering the previous record of 13,677 set in February 2001 and ending the month up 33.8 percent compared to last year, the division announced today. Year-to-date Acura sales rose to 28,286, up 29.4 percent compared to last year.
The TL performance luxury sedan and MDX luxury SUV both set new February records. The TL, Acura's top selling vehicle for the past five months, sold 6,274 units and beat the existing record of 5,878 set in February 2001. Compared to the same month last year, TL sales increased 57.6 percent. The popular MDX set a new February record of 4,929 units, an increase of 9.2 percent versus a year ago.
"Demand for the new TL sedan is stronger than ever," said D. Colliver, executive vice president, sales. "The all-new car is doing an excellent job of attracting new buyers to Acura."
The hot-selling TSX sports sedan also continues to perform above forecast with sales of 1,959 units.

Oct. 6031 TL
Nov. 5608
Dec. 5853
Jan. 5036
Feb. 6274
Total: 28802.
This number is not yet including tons of non-Navi sitting in the dealers' lots and TLs many of you are making the orders with deposits.
My fault: I didn't see "Acura Tl Gets No Love!!! Again" posted already.
Sorry for this redundant thread.

Weird, here in Phoenix I commute 38 miles each way and the old TL's are everywhere. I count 7 or 8 a day but I have only seen one 04' TL on the freeway in 2 months.

I think it all depends on where you're. In my city, I have seen 04TL everyday since the end of January. Where vtechbrain lives, residents there probably prefer to having F150 instead of TLs.

Here near-luxury cars are a dime a dozen in terms of numbers. I see at least 2 04 TL's a day and will certainly see more as people get a look at them and head to the dealers themselves.
It wasn't press that got me to the dealer...it was sitting behind one in traffic.

I've seen exactly four TLs on the road since October 2003. I guess they're not big around here, too many people are into extra-large 4WD American gas guzzling SUVs around here. This is a BIG Big 2 town.
Nice to know they're selling elsewhere, though!

Sales record
I haven't seen any TL's here in the Detroit area.
I have my name on a WDP/Parchment/Navi coming at the end
of March. Which brings to mind a question: I got a price in writing and ask the dealer if he wanted any $$$ to order.
The answer was we have a car coming we will put your name on
it. Now I am getting a little nervous as I fear when the car comes they will sell it to whoever will pay more for it.
If this does occur there will be some serious noise at Acura
headquarters. I would be suprised though as these folks
have been up front all along.

Anyway, think there's any possibility of Honda increasing the MDX's hp to an even 300hp with the same V6??

Does anyone know where one can find Canadian sales figures. Unlike US sales, I recently heard that Honda sales are down in Canada and in fact the Mazda 3 sold more cars than the Civic in Feb. 04 setting itself up to possibly become the best selling car in Canada overtaking the Civic.

Agree. It's so hard to get sales records # out of Canada sources. Anyone knows?

wait a minute. last Feb the CL sold 645 units compared to the RL at only 500. And what car did they kill? The CL! Makes no sense to me.
Amazing that now they are only selling 488 RLs/month. That is a pretty bad performance.
