Acura Remote Start for '08 TL

I noticed that Acura is now offering an ACURA REMOTE START SYSTEM on their website. What's confusing is that it's listed as an 2009 MDX accessory. However, there's nothing that states that it would or would not work on an 08 TL.

Will it work on an '08 TL? Anyone checked?

is a company we are using in school right now.....i did this module on mine and its great....honestly think it's better than the acura setup....i think the acura system isnt plug n play it actually has to be installed by someone who knows what they are doing with auto starts...then again i can be wrong.

Which module? I don't see a remote start for Acura on their website.

^^^^ at least for 2004/2005 TL. Plenty of bypass kits, but can't find a remote start. Is it the f105/6?

Battery drain

Be careful with the after market remote starts. We had problems with a few if you leave them too long and don't drive them. Usually if you leave them at the airport for more than a week or in the garage while away. Problem was that they need a small amount of juice to recognize when you hit the switch. This does cause a battery drain no matter how minute. The few we installed were warrantied but the service advisors disliked them because of these issues as they were not Acura accesories. No one has figured a way to resolve this problem yet. We had them installed by an outside vendor and usually sold them with the car. Perhaps the '08' Acura version has the bugs ironed out? I'm not sure as I moved over to Honda in '08'.
Good news is that you can call the 800 number and they'll send someone to give you a jump.

for the MDX, there are wireharnesses that must be altered via provided cables. Honestly the remote start from acura sucks. The range is horrible, and plus you have to shut off the car, then turn it back on with your key.
