A friend of my just leased the Acura CSX and it came with a factory Acura remote start. Reason I say it's factory is that the key fob had the Acura logo and he indicated it came with the Acura instruction manual. I could not find any information on this item as an accessory. Does anyone know if the Acura TL can be ordered with this or is it just for the CSX? Is there an Acura link to more info on this item?

 

I think there is a dealer installed option in most dealerships, for automatic transmission TLs to install a remote start which is part of the OEM remote. But I dont think there is official documentation on it. And the dealer wants $250 USD for something like that, when an alarm place can prolly do it for $130

 

Dropped in at the dealership and they indicated that the CSX was the initial trial of the factory remote start. He also indicated that there were limitions with this unit and aftermarket units would be much better. Only problem with aftermarket units is the possibility of warranty issues should something go wrong with the car that was related to the systems that the remote start was connected to.

 

CSX ??? WHAT'S THAT ?????

 

Just curious, what's the range on this so called factory starter?

now i remember i used to go to toronto and see a weird looking acura/honda ..... 1.7 EL or something... which was the upgraded version of our old civic.... would any of u get it ?? if it's for sell in the US ???

 

I seen a Civic here in Florida with a Canada license plate, it was badged with "Acura". That's so wierd. I guess they make their Civic Acura name?
