My TL is currently at Acura of Ramsey for rattle issues. I just got a call from my Service Advisor saying that the TL is done, but someone from Acura Corporate is coming to check my TL. And he didn't even know about it. What is this all about? Has Acura Corporate started doing random service audits?

has your car been in for a lot of warranty work? I know when i had my 97 VW Passat VR6 i had the NE rep look at my car and took my 100k/10 year warranty at 12k miles

Maybe there have been complaints on the issue and they want to do a survey of the issues going on and maybe have a recall or something.

Nope, this is the second time my TL has been to the dealer for warranty work since purchasing it in December 2006. The first time was for a faulty moonroof motor. I think it might just be a random service audit because my Service Advisor said he didn't even know someone from Acura Corporate was coming in. All my rattle issues had TSB's also.

yeah cuz of that 2 of my friends and I were black listed from VW well at least ever having a warranty on a VW

my car used to be in for A LOT OF ISSUES...rattles and all...A LOT
after a while, acura of lynnwood told me that america honda actually CAME DOWN PERSONALLY to check out the car...to make sure my problems were legit...etc etc etc

I dont complain about rattles thats BS paneling at fault....plus its a car...even lambos rattle. I complain about issues outside the norm.....ive been through 4 racks, 3 pumps, heating core, heater valves,certain suspension components breaking sooner than expected, motor mounts, tranny replacement, subframe bushings seized in the frame so it all had to be swapped, axles, Finally the last time the car went in and came out they sent 2 guys from HQ and went over everything top to bottom and changed things that didnt even have to be changed just so i dont have a headache later on with other things that were changed around them in order to work properly. I wont even go through the lemon law because i love the car so much =)

how'd u wear the motor mounts out so fast? lol... u push the car or something?

once one thing breaks everything breaks in sync...basically made to do that.....ridiculous.....the front n the side are the most problematic mounts and the top tranny mount

I jinxed myself earlier about saying how my 08 TLS has no rattles.

When the passenger's front window is open, there is an annoying loud rattle...also right by the door pillar where the air bag is by the driver side, right in my ear, taunting me

I think we should find a TL that has the most rattles, and let the freaken manager of the Acura plant drive that car for a week...I want him to go bananas while listening to these pneumatic mind boggling annoyances.

U know, I hear a lot on the forum about rattles......I hardly have any to speak of. Guess I'm lucky? The only ones that developed were from unfinished mods here and there I did myself. I can't blame Acura. Am I the only one?

tek i got that squeaky rattle "annoy the fuck outta me noise" in the drivers door its in my ear when u crack the window so its either down or up nothing in between.

I've got a '04 TL that's never had any problems or rattles. The only warranty issue I had was replacing the crappy leather on the seats. The only time I run the car hard is on a smooth road. Normally, I baby the car.

my car is so babied its not even funny dude.... same thing here i only move on smooth clean road that I can see 100%. Just had a lot of probs with it......no idea why nor do i care as long as it gets fixed with the least amount of money out of my pocket.

nah i got it baCK but i dont address squeaks n rattles i fix them myself. i have an upholstery shop so sound proofing and lubing things up so they dont squeak is the easiest thing to do plus i dont go with cheap stuff i get fairly expensive high quality stuff to cover noises and make the car ride quieter I have one last noise to get rid of and the car is going to be quieter than a bentley

SLICK, is it that the tall doofy advisor? Sure sounds like him, he's an ass.. I hate that dealership's service dept. They get on my last nerve, especially that one guy...

When they say someone from corporate is coming they're referring to the DPSM=District Parts & Service Manager. This person is employed by Acura corporate & is a field rep. over a specific region of dealerships. They make routine visits to the dealer probably every 30-40 days (more or less). They take a look @ cars in service, especially cars that have been in more than once for the same thing or on going known issues=TLs rattling.

Has anyone ever made and posted up an audio clip of the rattling noises?
I'd like to hear what you guys are talking about.
Not having the problem with my stock TL, I can't imagine what it sounds like.
