Accesories worth to buy with new purchases?
I am planning to buy the TL (Abyss blue/quartz) with navi within 1-2 weeks... would i have a much better chance of getting the best price if i leave out the accesories ?
the ones I really want to add:
door visor
matching color door edge trim
side molding
wheel locks (heard that one is usually included)
first time car buyer on my own... have been using a 'hand me down' 90 accord from family.
tips for negotiation??

Welcome to the forum. Good luck with your negotiations and let us know how everything goes.
It depends on the dealer and the salesman. Sometimes they will give you the parts for cost and just charge labor. You will just have to get the final price and then ask them what they can do with your accessories.
If you are going to get both body side moldings and door edge guards, make sure they put the door edge guards on first, and then the body side moldings, so everything will fit together.

It varies from dealer to dealer, but my dealer includes the protection package on all their cars. The package comes with wheel locks, door edge trim, trunk mat, and splash guards. I told the salesguy that since I didn't ask for any of these accessories, I shouldn't have to pay for them. It took a while to convince him, but he finally agreed. You should do the same thing with any accessories the dealer includes on the car.

1) Splash guards. I installed the wheel splash guards (30 minutes to do all 4)
2) all-season floor mats. Necessity in the northeast with all the sand/salt on the roads.
3) wheel locks

One of the items I would invest in is Paint Protection Film (PPF). Protects your front end from road debris and prevents those nasty looking chips. Click on the link Rockblocker provided and if you have any questions, do a search on clear bra. There are loads of info as well as comments about it. BTW, Welcome aboard and enjoy the TL as we all do.

If you can get the dealer to throw some stuff in... then that would be the way to go.
We actually sell a decent amount of accessories b/c they're so much cheaper to buy afterwards. A friend of mine just got an MDX, and our price on the running boards was close to half of what the dealer wanted... so he ordered it through me and put it on himself. If you can't get it thrown in... I would buy it somewhere else besides the dealer....
