Welcome! From what I can see, the car looks clean. Along with the maintenance you mentioned, I would inspect the car for cracks in the dashboard along with any heavy wear on the seats.
Welcome to the forums mkong.
okay and after thats done all the other little do hickey shouldnt cost too much? im comming from a A4 and honestly i cant deal with the expensive german parts hence why im comming to acura... i had to have the cats done at 130,000 and im trying to get out of it before the timing belt and water pump needs to be changed.

Offer them 9,500 if they can't prove the belt and water pump have been done and then go to 10,000 if you feel it's worth it. Explain to them thats' why you are offering that and they may go for it.
A warranty like that only helps you when things go wrong. You're going to have to do the timing belt service anyway if it hasn't already been done, and those warranties can be sticklers if you haven't kept up with the regular needed maintenance.
Whatever you would pay for the warranty would go a long way toward the timing belt change. If the scheduled servicing is done then you SHOULDN'T have many problems with the car, but that's not to say that you won't. The warranty would be more for unexpected problems that could pop up.
This is all a moot point if the 105,000 service has already been done though. If it hasn't been done and the timing belt lets go inside the engine, it will be a very expensive fix.

Id laugh in a mechanics face if he were ever to quote me those prices for a timing belt and water pump replacement. You're right though it depends where u go, here in the NYC area you can get it done for under $800 in many places and not by a hack job either.

>>Could you give a guy a hand here with details. Am in NYC, at 130, and need to get that timing belt, water pump replacement done by a hack. Also need a tune up. Suggestions, location. Not gonna even try DIY. Thanks.
