How many of you guys have taken your car in for an A1 and only got an oil change when it is supposed to be Oil + Tire Rotation? I have a "free first service" on my TL, it's going to be the A1 - my friend took his in for the A1 (free first service) and they brought it back without doing the tire rotation, he reminded them an A1 is supposed to have that and they took it back and re did it..

Anyone else have similar experiences?

 

A1 is oil change only...at least that's what it says in my owner's manual.

 

Page 199 of the '04 Manual has a Maintenance Minder chart. The left side has a box with letter symbols, and the right side has number symbols. On these charts, A = Replace engine oil, and 1 = Rotate tires.

 

I just recently had my first A1 service and they didn't rotate my tires.
I'll just do it myself at around 10k.

 

I have an appt tomorrow for my A1. ~7100 miles. When I made the appt, I asked if it included a tire rotation and they said yes. The whole service will cost me $45.

 

Had mine done today. $43 for A1. Oil and filter change, tire rotation, and a bath.

 

Had my A1 service done on Oct 23. Consisted of oil/filter change and tire rotation. Cost=$50. They wanted to know if it needed a bath and vacuum - passed on the bath but the insides got clean. Saved me some time, didn't get dirty and didn't have to dispose of the oil/filter. Went inside, had some coffee, got to know the parts guy and walked around the showroom. Done in an hour.

 

Where did you have your A1 service done? I live in San Jose and wanted to know if you had the service done at Stevens Creek (Autowest) Acura.

My service dept said tire rotation is done on or after 7500 miles. I had 5500 miles on my car when I brought it in for A1 Service so they didn't do the tire rotation. Bill was $30.
