A1 with an interesting loaner

Well brought my babes in for her 1st A1 today. Sorry, no pics. I remember threads of people claiming high prices over $100. I got oil change, tire rotation, air, oil filters, hand wash and vac...... whatever else A1 has for $28.05. Asked about the leather with the poofy cusion, response was: need to reschedule to disassemble seat to inspect. Oh well, they seemed to have fixed the rattles, at least for now.

The 15 Acura loaners were out so they gave me a Hertz rent a car. It was a Ford Taurus. Suprisingly I didn't hate it. Ford Lincoln Mercury makes a great air suspension. Really is a nice cushy ride, feels quite smooth. I like it. Comfortable and I would call the ride "floaty." Also it was real quiet riding on the road and over bumps. I think this may have somethign to do with the tires though and just my Turanzas are loud. The Tauras had Continentals on. I also liked sitting up higher, but there was way too much body roll.

All in all, I am glad my baby is back and hand and I missed her. Even though it was less than a day.

Great service, great people, car came back GREAT.
BTW, I use Clair Acura in Walpole.

I also found on Route 1 in Norwood a Shell station that sells top of the line V-power stuff for $1.99 a gallon plus you get a laser brushless car wash for $4.00 with fill up.

Saw a fellow TLer on route 128 with NBP. Decided to show my respect and give him a run for his money. To make everything short, I lost the race, but the sad part is I don't think they knew we were racing. Just driving normal. What a great car!

Oh yea, 5W-20 oil. I don't know what it means, but the numbers seem low. This what TL should have?

I can't believe you got a rental loaner for an A1 service that you paid $28 for. The dealer must have lost money on this. If they keep doing this, they'll be out of business fast.

Mo, I brought in mine for service B today ang got a TSX with 1900 miles. Nice car I'd say. However, B at this dealer is $120 (they call it minor service for every 7500 miles). I know it's waste of money but I was 0% already on my oil life. Paying toll to live in California.

my "B" service only cost me $21 in Atlanta (oil change) - exactly the same as my "A1" service.

Could be that I've been through 3 sets of tires - none with more than 3000 miles... so no rotation.
