'94 Impala SS..... :owned:

My neighbor has an Impala SS and we're both talking about our cars incessantly. My black 1997 TL verses his 1994 black SS. He barely beat me from a dead stop and once I got to about 30 mph he was mine. I went up past 95 mph before he called it off.

I WILL say his Impala sounds good, not sure if thats a stock sound or not, I'll have to ask.

Score another for the old TL.

do you have a 97 3.2TL? any mods for you? stock vs. stock I think the impala ss should have beaten you.

1994 Chevy Impala SS AT
0-60: 7.1 Transmission: Unknown
1/4 Mile: 15.4
1/4 Speed: 91

1997 3.2 TL AT

0-60: 8.1 Transmission: Unknown
1/4 Mile: 16.3
1/4 Speed: 87

Based on these numbers be should have smoked you, but then again I don't know if you have any mods or if his car has any problems either. 1994 it probably isn't running close to 7.1 0-60 unless he meticously cares for it.

His seems to be stock, not sure about his exhaust, Borla did make one for the SS. I'll ask him.

I have the Type II engine swap. 230 hp, plus cold air intake and bayou chip. Given his 4200 pound weight and my 3450 pounds.. it starts to make sense. Though that 5.7 should make a massive amount of torque.

Yup, Legend GS (sedan) Legend LS (coupe) motor

C32A5 is the designation

The Bayou chip is a very common aftermarket ECU meant for the Legend. The original design was done by Dinan and is now distributed by Bayou.
