sometime end of this month or beginning of november they will be available..

I think Acura wanted to get the Fast Sellers out, than get new options out, like A-Spec and 6-Speed's

EDIT: Dealer told me that 6-speed should be out soon, but it seems people are saying it might be delayed till January

Question

are you sure about this? Same thing as my dealer did to me. They know NOTHING! I am so pissed. How can you sure about this? Base on my understanding, I call up a dealer in SoCA area, he told me that 3 out of 88 cars were manual or manual +Navi by end of the Nov. So, I really doubt on your info. BUT, I CAN'T WAIT. I have put 2 deposit down in 2 dealerships and one hook up (close friend of mine).. SO, I bet noone have done that. I am the first spot at both dealership to get the 6MT/Navi/Blue/Quartz or 6MT/Navi/Silver/Ebony... SO!!! I GUESS I HAVE TO WAIT WAIT WAIT..................

Hey Nicki and Zima76,
Both your dealer will be able to locate your cars or even give you your TLs VIN in about two weeks to 19 days.
Trust me in this, the manual tranny will be out not later than November 16.
Acura won't risk and release the manual tranny in the winter time when enthusiasts like us can't drive.
I'm pretty sure that by November 20, your TL will be parked in your parking garage.

Are you guessing, or do you have inside information?

Because Honda released the Accord 6 Speed Close to Winter Time

Well, I'll say that my info is more than guessing.
Last week, i got my VIN to what was upposed to be my TL order that I cancelled before, which was for HPT package (6 Speed manual), it was being built then.
And Zima, I've put two deposits even before I've seen the car in April.
I thought that they were going to make the TL with the same body, but I didn't care much.
I've been waiting for 8 months, so i won't die if I waited for another month.
Did I mention that I met Acura district manager today!!!
He didn't add a lot to what I already know, but at least I'm confident.
To all of you who placed deposits, you'll be notified by your dealer either once the vehicle is built and being shipped, or when it arrives at the harbor and being laoded up to the trucks.

For what it's worth, my dealer's saleman stated that the 6MT won't be produced until November so won't be available until mid to late November.

On another note, since the car is produced in Marysville, OH, has anyone heard of being able to save the delivery charge and picking it up at the plant???

I just got the build date on my Anthracite/Ebony MT6 Navi car as 11/10 - 11/14 build. If you are not pre-ordered then I wouldn't expect builds to happen until December at the earliest. Since Acura lacks a order build change system (IE once the allocation is ordered it cannot be changed) you have to wait for the next allocation which is 10/17 and will be December cars.

Nicki,
I live in Virginia, our come through the harbor.
I guess that that doesn't apply on where you live.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Anyways, If I'm in your place, I'll check with my dealer in 13 days, and ask them for my VIN.

You guys better be there when the car comes off the truck. Everyone at the dealership is going to want to get behind the wheel of the 6MT!

Production Date on 6 sp

My dealer said that they have production dates on their first order of 6 speeds. Production is scheduled for Nov. 9 for mid-Nov. delivery.

Actually the cars are shipped by train to baltimore. Which in fact has a harbor. After that they are "port" prepped, put on trucks and sent to dealers.

Apparantly Brembo was unable to get enough parts to build in time for Oct delivery, hence the delay.

so you really think its the brembos huh? out of all the parts that are different between the auto and manual you are so sure its the brembos huh? maybe its the tranny or the stick shift or the heavier torsion bars or the limmited slip differential or something else-like they dont want to put them on the assy line cause they want to make autos first. so how are you so sure its the bembos?:wow:
