6 spd production shut down.

6-speed not quite down
I happen to work in Acura of South Bay in Torrance,Ca and we have still two incomming 2004 6-speed TL's. As far as I've heard there has not been a hault of production for 6-speeds. Altough their production is slower it is not stopped. It is possible that he meant that the 2004 production is stoped, however 2005's will still have 6-speeds available(before Jan/Feb 05).

My 2004 6MT was ordered in August 2003 and originally promised to me on October 2003. But the 6MT's were delayed and I did not get the car till January 2004. Acura probably likes to Push the AT's first it seems.

Nicki is right, I remember this story, dunno why Acura seems to do this again.
BTW, Navi was temp halted last Nov & Dec due to the shortage of Navi parts, but I forgot the real reasons why.
Sidenote, "vtechbrain" was the first member I knew getting 6MT at that time, in the end of last Oct. http://www.imagestation.com/album/?i...67&mode=invite

Concerning the topic of this thread, the 2005 G35 6MT won't be available until December, two months after the 2005 G35 AT. Looks like both Acura/Honda and Infiniti/Nissan are concentrating their initial 2005 production on AT models. That shouldn't be surprising, given that 80-90% of annual sales are AT models.

Say what you want, I'm going to look at a 2005. It looks like an impressive car. I got a kick out how this forum bitched and moaned all week about the lack of changes in the TL and Infiniti drops a little M5 down. Message to Acura - NO 6mt No Sale

Just getting the facts straight.
BTW, what is the ratio of 6-speeds sold vs. 5 autos.

Can anyone actually officially confirm or deny this?
I had an 05 on order that was supposed to arrive 10-10. My lease is up and I cannot wait until Jan for my new car.
If this is the case, I need to go car shopping again NOW. Please advise.

I really hate to add fuel to the G35 sub conversation going on in here, but if the G35c Manual is getting 298 for 05, did anyone consider this may be a positive side effect of the Voluntary Japenese HP Limit that was just revoked or abandoned earlier this year?
The Limit was right around 280 if I remember right.
Hell, dont forget that the Skyline GTR R34 VSpec II was only listed at 280hp also, when we all know it had alot more under the hood.
Sorry I added some rational thought into this thread. You may now continue arguing over 0-60 times.
