Stone chips are bound to happen. Being "as low" as you are, I'd eat orange size chunks of ice and snow in the bumper everyday. Compared to that, a few chips ain't so bad.

whats it like in the MTL right now. Im just over here in saint john NB, we got hammered with snow yesterday and a lot of it melted already lol. But yes my TL is 9 yrs old now and safe to say the front bumper of the car needs paint badly lol

PS: GO HABS GO!!!! Ive been patiently waiting since 1993 lol, this is the year for the boys!

It could be a possibility of a ballast problem, but I doubt it because like I said I did a side by side comparison with the OEM bulb, EBay bulb and the Kaixen. My opinion on how it looked was: 1) Kaixen 2) EBay bulb 3) XB35 4) OEM bulb.

I am aware there is a new 2014 version of the XB35. I bought mine in 2012 I think so I know it is the older version. I don't know what they changed or if that makes a difference. People here say that's probably the reason for the color difference but TRS says it shouldn't make that much of a difference with color and neither kind should have any kind of green in it.

As I've mentioned before I also see a strange shadow in the periphery with high beams on that I don't see with any of the other bulbs. I haven't heard anyone else mention this so I don't know, maybe I'm being too picky.

Green HID's is definitely a ballast issue. Don't buy crappy ballasts I believe it's green because the ballast is underpowering... XB35 ballasts from TRS are BEASTS. I put them in all my client's retrofit's and have no problems. Also when they inevitably do die, they come with 5-year warranty and TRS will send you out a new one

Hmmm...I wonder if my OEM ballasts were just getting tired then. Maybe the TRS bulbs require a stronger ballast? The CBI seem happy with the same old oem ballasts.

Or maybe they're providing to much juice to your CBI's and shortening their life

Doesn't look like you read anything I wrote. Like I said I tested the other bulbs side by side, none of the others were greenish, they were normal. I don't think the ballast is crappy, unless you think TRS is better than OEM. And if so, you must be a paid spokesman for TRS. And no the TRS does not give you a 5yr warranty. Just 2.

One of the reasons I went with TRS is because of hype I read about like this. Good service, yes. The rest is not all that. But don't take it from me. Balance it all out with sound research. I bet you will read more negative things about TRS on other forums over just buying yourself a nice set of CBIs and just calling it a day.

Good thread. I have xb35 6000k d2s and 6000k xb35 in the type s fogs. The inner headlight fogs are vled 6000k and my vled switchbacks are also 6000k.

Everything matches pretty good

But,

I think 5000k from morimoto would have matched a little better. During the day you can tell.

I'll be switching to CBIs soon and some 5000k LEDs since I'm ocd

Here's a cellphone pic.

Sorry for another post. But here's another cellphone pic showing the color. Looks 5000k but like I said during the day you can see that the xb35 bulbs are more 6000k.

The vleds switchbacks and leds are closer to 5000k.

Here they match the USR side markers.

I'm a little obsessive about getting the right match too, and I think I pretty much nailed it between my CBIs, switchbacks, and fogs. I'll find the good picture I have and post it up tomorrow.

So I have CBIs, 5000K fogs by VVME, and VLED 5000K Platinum switchbacks.
