3rd and 4th gear

Hi, guys have an 08 Type S 5AT, recently changed the gear oil although never had any issues in the past but did it as per the mechanic's recommendation. My question is if I floor in manual mode I believe either in the 3rd or 4th gear, the rpm will not jump over 5 and I will have to switch it to the next gear whereas in 1st and 2nd gear the rpm goes to max 8 before I shift and the car goes up to like 160km/hr and it feels like its a speed limiter however in auto mode the car does struggle to go over 150-160 but it goes smoothly over that limit. Is it a gear issue or I just don't know how to drive in manual and if it's the gear issue then what's the fix for this? Also, I have always wondered has anyone here raced an 03-06 G35 5AT? My friend has one although we have never raced but he brags and says he can beat me while I think he can. Anyone who had raced from a dig or maybe a rolling race? The only modification done to my car is no 3rd CAT, no resonator, and no mid-muffler.

Is this a joke?

You're talking about gear ratios on a 15 year old mid-tier luxury sedan.... it doesn't have a race transmission in it. The automatic car is electronically limited to 152mph I believe. I'm surprised you've even seen that fast considering the drag that's occuring, on top of the fact your engine has seemingly been taken care of enough to still get you there in the first place.

Your issue may be related to trans fluid. If you recently got it changed, you need to make sure it was changed with OEM honda or acura dw1 ATF. Anything else will likely have the incorrect amount of friction modifiers or viscosity or whatever, and can damage your trans, especially if you're racing it. Further, short shifting can be a result of a dirty trans solenoid, or worn out 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches.

Note he is taking about Kph vs Mph....I am having a tough time following the post. The lack of punctuation is killing me.

It somewhat sounds like his engine won’t rev past 5k RPMs in certain gears? Not sure....he says something about 8k which is higher than these engines rev.

sounds like your trans is slipping and revving it off the limiter isn't helping it.

When I raced my auto I used 66/33 ratio of racing ATF/D4. Reference
