4th and 5th gear are overdrive gears I believe. That is why our cars don't go anywhere in 4th or 5th gear.

4th and 5th are over drive for fuel economy, therefore once 3rd redlinesn at 110 and it switches to 4th it becomes amazingly slow. if you want to drive with only 1 over drive gear put it in d4, no overdrive d3.

It sickens me that we're losing out on performance because Acura decided to gear the 4th gear so short. Who needs 2 overdrive gears, anyway? I hate racing on the highway and running out of juice because of 4th gear.

so is acceleration faster at d4 as opposed to d5?

yes...but not by much, unfortunately

just race until you top out at 3rd and stop...hopefully you can throw on the hazards at that point
