3k Miles on the 06' TL, Few Q's inside.

1. There is a passenger side rattle, I can only hear it if the car radio is off and going on most HWY's and roads. It's a very feint sounding rattle were it rings.. But I'm not 100% sure if thats is the source of my rattle. Can explain exactly what it sounded like before they fixed it?

2. Leather Care, How often do you do it? I'm starting to notice minor / slight leather cracking (looks like it but hasn't actually occurred) just from typical age and wear. I have ebony leather, so should I go to acura and get some treatment stuff or just use stuff from an auto parts place?

3. Also starting to notice the ashy dashboard... Guess i'll go hit up Acura and ask for a can of their dashboard shine stuff.

4. if i think of anything else.

i do leather treatments every month, and i use lexol, which you can buy from autozone. For the ashydashboard, use a woolite soultion to clean (not sure of combo) and then use some 303 aerospace protecant on it, which is avaliable at any marine store.

I have about the same mileage on my 06, i had the same rattles, mine was under the passenger seat and the passenger front door panel around the speaker, they took both apart and placed foam in there both sounds are now gone. As for the leather treatment i treat and clean mine once a week!

I have a rattle on the passenger side right behind the driver's door. I heard the same rattle on the demo I drove when my car was in for service. I now have 12000 kms on my car. Can you let me know where they put the foam so I may inform the Acura delaership.

I got leather protection when I bought the car do I still need to treat it every month. Other than that the car is GREAT!!!

Thanks...

So what is the norm on leather treatment?

Once a month, Week? every few months?

I'd like to see what others have been doing it.

ALSO, could anyone on the boards post a 35% tint job? ty

Where did you put the foam to get rid of the passenger seat squeak? Did you have to take the seat apart?

I have a similar problem w/ my 06 6MT, but it is more of a creak than a rattle. A friend of mine @ work w/ an 06 5AT had the same exact problem. He took it to the dealer and had it fixed a couple weeks ago. Dealer acknowledged the problem, but could not identify the specific cause. Rather than masking the problem with foam, they replaced part (or all?) of the airbag sensor assembly. It was fixed a couple of weeks ago, and the creak has not returned. I'm going to wait a couple more weeks to make sure his creak doesn't return, then head down to the dealer with a request to replace the following items:

81110-SEP-A11 Device. R. 4 W $257.89
81167-SEP-A12 Sensor Assy. . W $217.67
90101-SEP-A11 Bolt. Torx 8x1 $15.29
90101-SBD-L71 Bolt 6x22 $ 8.18

It's all under warranty, so I may as well get it fixed right the first time.
