3G TL Front Tow Hook?

So ya know how we can have the Benen tow hook in the rear under the bumper? Is there one that we can have for the front hitch? I popped the little circle on the front bumper off today and checked it out and there's a "hole" to screw something into. Does Benen have a hook that we can screw into the front? Or any other company with a universal hook? I know ACCURATEin has one, but isn't his custom? Also -stickwitit- has one as well, but he's never on so idk how he did his.

So can anybody help me out?

theres one in the trunk.

IMO tow hooks look retarded on a car that doesnt look like it belongs on a track. ACURATEIN can pull it off, dont think any other cars can though. Plus, if youre not going to use it, whats the point?

Accuratein's looks dope, he has a Ti finish tow hook. I know for a fact that he cut his bumper to make it fit.

Yeah I just want it strictly for looks. Everytime I go to the TSX forum to look at some pics I see some with the front hook and I get jealous. I had no idea there was one in the trunk tho... i'll take a look at it tomorrow.

Bearcat where did you get yours? Still have it? If you have any more pics i'd love to see them.

Mine was in the trunk. It's OE, painted flat black. This is the only decent pic I have and it was only on the car for about a day - when I went to the track early this spring.

Now it's back in the trunk. Where it belongs -

just a thought... what if we could market/buy a camera holder for moving shots? ie extendable and rotating head, etc that easily screws in?

Am I missing something here? People actually want to drive around with a tow hook protruding from their bumper because they think it looks good?

they sell a aftermarket screw on one thats is all polish and it bends down insted of sticks out like the oem one. A friend of mine has it on his Honda Fit and it looks good.

Here is a picture of the one he got, i think it should fit because its a honda almost all honda nuts bolts fit (8mm,10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, 19mm, each other and i think the threads or bolt on the TL tow hook and Fit is a 17Mm correct me if im wrong

bukjoe15 I like that one in the link A LOT. Do you have a 3G too? If you do is there is any way you could test fit your friend's hook on your car to see if it fits perfect?

To each its own, I wouldn't do it but I respect and value others opinions that want to do it..

Its like some people walk around with their jeans falling from their ass, but if thats their style and/or fashion then so be it..

TOW HOOKS rock, they just make the car, your car, i would put one in the back, espcially in NY when people scratch up your bumper, and its mostly the back.

Good for you, bearcat. I think only people who don't drive their cars on the track would think it's cool to drive around town with the tow hook in place. Might as well wear a helmet for your daily commute!

I used to have a 911 that I would drive on the track once a month and I never even thought about driving around town with the two hook in place.

Maybe if I go he is up there. I lost his phone number and never keep in touch but I still see him once in a blue moon, dude got the hottest Honda Fit around here, and the Tow hook Set the whole car off. love Tow hooks, even doe people don’t drag races there cars you can still make it look like a race car, that’s the point in modding your car some people like to make there modding of there car look like a race car but even doe don’t race, everyone have there own styles and opinion, IMO I love the race car look Modding style. Lol So if you like it go for it. Be different.

accuratein is a top secret one made for the r35. The point of an aftermarket towhook, for those that dont know, is to have a hook attached to the frame of the car rather then just the front bumper so when you get towed, your bumper doesnt come off. However, i do aggree that the right hook can look good aesthetically.

bukjoe I think the one your friend has on his Fit is the T1R one. The Js Racing one only comes in orange, the T1R comes in blue and black. I really wanna get it but it's like $80, which is a little high for such a small aesthetic mod. Let alone the fact I don't even know if it will fit.

only reason why i would do this is to protect the front of the car from people that dont know how to parallel park in NYC.... they back right up into it putting a hole in their bumper or scratches

^^^ that's exactly why I have a rear one on so no one hits the bumper. the problem with the front one is that it's off to the side too much to even protect it. On my teg though I have both front and rear. And my front one is bolted right into the bumper bar. Btw i love when people walk in front of my teg and bang the shit out of their knees!!!
