I'm doing my research, Since I'll probably have the truck for a while.
I know Tacomas are great and the resale value is crazy good.

I heard the gen2 Tundra had an issue with the cam.. not sure if it was resolved, but a 5.7 would be mean AF.
I almost bought a reggo cab TRD S/C Tundra.. shiett.. truck was doing 12's and was quick AF.
I still kinda regret not getting it.
You need that extra extra room tho..

I have a gen1 Tundra back home.. TRD, 4.7L
I love it mang. We've always been a Toyota pickup family.
T100s, hilux, tacomas, even the OG pickup SR5.. OG truck had almost 400k on it before it was stolen in SD.
Some filipino chop shop had it.. only found it torn apart because dude killed another dude during a card game
Straight up blew the guys head off point blank
Police wanted more money in impound fees than the truck was worth.. fucking crooks.
Would have needed to buy other truck where engine went in too.. fuckers.

Gen1 Tundras aren't bad either. My buddy has had his from day one. 275k miles, and still going strong.

my boss keeps talking about how the new tacoma or tundra will have some crazy super diesel that'll get over 25mpg and be able to pull anything you need...he's like THAT is the truck to buy.
My other boss has like 3 pre-2003 F250 with a particular diesel he says are bulletproof...
I'd buy anything from him...he takes care of his shit. But he'd likely only sell the white 2WD...which reminds me of a city work truck. pass.
