Unless you need to make space or something.
Eek...if you are seriously after a G1 vintage that's minty, you are going to be paying a pretty penny. Not recommended. And you'd never play with it. FWIW, and we know it's fact, as probably one of the biggest robot collectors this side of the planet (not kidding), I rarely dabble in in vintage unless it is a must-buy. Pretty much my entire G1 collection of Transformers are reissues. Reissues are released by TakaraTomy (and Hasbro for North America) and so, it's still the original manufacturer...it's not a bootleg. There is no reason why would not want a reissue especially for practical reasons (i.e. cost).

The MOST recent Megatron reissue was the one that came packed with the horrific Bayformer version. That set can be had for about $100ish. Not bad for 2 figures...even if the 2nd one included -- ENTatron -- is horrible.

Oh, I'm well aware of how many pretty pennies it would take... And thus, how it would sit tucked away in a closet not being played with. That's the dichotomy I face. I want one to play with and I'd really prefer a 1984 version since that would fit in with my others. Like should have been there from the start.

We'll see. Maybe a time machine would be more practical.

I can't imagine spending 500k-1M, just for a single day, or two. I'd be crying.

but then again, I'm not rich AF.

Check my build thread to find out!

but seriously.. Absolutely nothing. The car looks absolutely perfect to me, save for the stance. Everything else is just right. I could use a mild drop and spacers, but I'm not convinced it's a smart thing to do. Just last week I was in a parking lot with these long speed bumps and the front aero ever so slightly scraped on the underside. Normal speed bumps don't seem to be a problem. But that alone made me second guess lowering the car.

It just sucks to have to start worrying about where I'm driving or how I'm driving, merely for improved looks. I'm more function > form.

beyond that, well, I did do a minor mod... I installed a "Nismo" license plate frame- an OEM part

I'm still waiting for the Nismo valve caps to come in. They're an OEM JDM product, coming from Japan. Was supposed to be here already, but dealership still hasn't received it.

I thought about an air intake, but seeing dyno results, they really do nothing until you hit 6000rpm. They claim 18whp gains, which is true, but only at the top of the rpm range. Otherwise it's like 0-5whp below 6000rpm. It's also $500US for the intake system. Not cheap. Hard to justify.

i thought about an exhaust, but the car has a factory HKS exhaust. I'm guessing that's how Nissan got an extra 18hp out of the Nismo vs regular 370. I thought about hacking up the exhaust to make it louder... But then I'm messing with an OEM HKS exhaust... Doesn't seem smart.

otherwise, I've got 19" forged wheels, functional aero kit, recaro seats, brembos front and back, exhaust, factory chassis braces, factory engine damper, you name it. There isn't much to do besides esthetics.

the slightly older Nismo wheels (09-14, I think) are super nice. But I really like mine. They don't look great in photos, but I love them in person. I'd buy some older ones if I could find them for a decent price and in good shape.

i really didn't like the front bumper on the 09-14 nismos. Just looked like an aftermarket bumper. No Bueno.

Flip's Disney trip was October, pretty sure.

Alright, well, can't promise I will be more active to ensure the black quota on here, but I am sure there are enough of you e-thug types around to play the part. For this, I am grateful.
