Oh I'm sure the shooters will say that's why they did it... but think about it a second, taking pot shots at cops is NOT the way to get the cops to stop shooting at you, it's just going to get more people shot. Any sane person would realize that. If it was because they had a peaceful protest and the news decided not to cover it... well, you made the news, but not the way you were looking to.

Philando Castile and Alton Sterling shootings were @#$%ed up... I'm pissed off that they happened and I'm white... Police should be pissed off that they happened because it represents their profession very poorly and makes it harder for them to do their job.

...but mass shooting cops? That's a Timothy McVeigh mentality... it's psycotic, those shooters aren't representing anything except that we need more help for the mentally ill. They certainly don't represent the black community of Dallas, Texans, gun owners...

I've got an excess of chopsticks because I've been getting a lot of home cooked Chinese food from this little place that opened up on the way home from work. It's run by a couple of authentic Chinese guys from the mainland (I think), their last name is Ramirez which I think it Mandarin from like Beijing or something. Anyway, it's called Panda Express and they make some dope ass pork that has this fluffy breading like stuff on it and you dip it in this delicious red sauce. And their eggrolls are awesome since they changed up the recipe just a bit and put more black pepper in it.

mmm Panda... with a name like that, it HAS to be authentic..

I wonder how they typically serve said Panda. The Express leaves a little to be desired because from what I heard, Panda meat needs to be slow-cooked to achieve utmost flavor and tenderness. Next time you go, you should try that Panda and provide a review for 3GR!

But I thought you guize live a life of constant grace and swiftness. Something about being like water.

Now I hear excuses for the rushing and clanging and hurried movements. It must've been your other half that was moving the berries.

What if I told you I was also holding my phone while doing that.

That little stumble I had was when I glanced at the screen. I knew exactly what happened when you did the same.

I have a ton of chopsticks too...some chrome looking ones, some nice ones that came with a set of jade turtle stick rests...
I also have a lot of high end wooden ones I jack from restaurants.

Ironically, I like the cheap square ones that come with the sushi...they're gritty and give you splinters on your tongue, but that extra grit really holds onto the slick rice and seaherb paper real good.

I agree about the shooter scenario, man...I wasn't saying it was or wasn't making a point effectively, just that they're tied.

"they're tired"? not just them... I've been harassed by the cops before, I'm licensed to carry a firearm. Put those two together and toss in a little "I'm having a bad day and snap instead of saying 'yes sir' to the nice officer" and suddenly I'm Alton Sterling. In the Army there's a rule of engagement "Do not fire unless fired upon"... we seem to have more concern about escalating things with our enemies than we do about escalating things with our own citizens... yeah, I'm tired too, and a little pissed... but that doesn't mean I don't recognize that the police are the thin blue line that keeps me from having to walk around like some old west gunslinger all the time. Rational people realize that...

China King buffet in Mansfield isn't bad, it's not just Asian food though... and it really depends on the timing what id good and what isn't.

Splendid China on South Cooper used to be really good... I can't vouch for them now, it's been years since I've been there, I used to live right around the block from there though.

if any of these places have sweet and sour pork, or ginger beef on the menu... You shouldn't be eating there. Your heart will thank you.

Where is Flip, so we can hear about Dallas from a US black man's perspective??

Is he in Disney already, oblivious to what is happening in the real world whilst he peruses the Princesses?

IMHO, from the Canadian black man's perspective, police harassment is something I have dealt with from time to time.

Officers from rural areas, being put on police forces in Metropolitan areas, is not a good mix. They don't get the necessary sensitivity training to deal with various cultures, which is important.

You get officers who have short fuses, racist, what have you, and situations get out of hand, quickly. These two situations are examples of officers that fit those aforementioned categories.

Not saying the 'offenders' didn't play a role in how things played out, to some extent, however, proper training would have guaranteed a different outcome. No reason for officers to be so quick to pull their guns out.

Had to commend Minnesota's mayor for his comments, and truthfulness, if it was someone not black in those situations, probably wouldn't have anyone dead right now.

Train them all you want.

Its clear that humans have an underlying fear of others that are different than themselves. While there are plenty purposefully racist dumb fucks out there, deep down inside, even those who claim to not be racist, have a fear of those who are different.

Personally, I'm not a fan of LEOs. I've had some bad luck in the past with being harassed, but, I'd never wish anything like Dallas upon any of them. They work a high stress job. They don't know who they're dealing with every day. So when a white, "non racist" LEO stops a black dude, I think deep down inside there is additional fear. Because the dude he stopped is different. It's not even apparent I bet.

is it fair? No. Is it right? No. Is it everything society is vocally against these days? Yes. But I think natural instincts start to kick in, and in such a scenario the "fight or flight" instinct kicks in. And in this case they fight because that's what LEOs are paid to do.
