Maybe if this weather stops flip flopping back and forth. J and I are the only ones allowed to do that!

Nothin
Just test driving an E46 M3...
but alas...not sure it's really a valid replacement for the S2000 although I'd finally be able to drive it when I feel like it since a car seat would fit!
Lexus of Pembroke Pines and Subaru too.

3x3 because all the fluid does not come out of the tranny. How else do you get it out? Last time I did a 3x2 and it was consecutively better each time.

Brah.. Take the L already.

Manual Trans is a sump.. what you drain is what you fill.
In fact, if you put it up at a slight angle you can drain pretty much all of it.
Capacity (overhaul) is 2.5L, Drain is 2.2L. You only need to do it once.
3x3 is for Automatics where Capacity is 7.0L and Drain is 3.0L.

You do a drain and fill 3 times to keep upping the new fluid in an auto...
first is 43%, second is 67%, third is 82% and so on..
With a manny, you're nearly 90% new fluid already on the first change.. done!

Enough taking the high road with you, you never learn your lesson.

Calm down with the name calling and personal attacks before I have a mod do with you what I should have done when you started your uncalled for badgering the first interaction we had (and the subsequent taunting PM's for a week).
If you can't handle disagreement in a respectful manner, the internet isn't for you.

Drive my car off a cliff? Like, go kill myself?
Because I think your approach and follow up back-peddling excuses are BS and decide to politely disagree with you?

Oh yeah, tell Majofo why you need a 3x3 again, Chad. What percentage THC are you trying to get your transmission fluid to?

Thanks man, that probably what I needed to hear before bed.
I left the place wanting it, but I have to be honest...I was underwhelmed a bit by the drive...only went a block or two. I guess after the V it didn't feel "fast" to me and the shifter and clutch feel much smoother in the S2000.
The paintjob was fantastic, dude was nice enough...he did keep saying that when you buy a used car you should keep a few grand ready to fix stuff. He also said he'd rather not do a BMW PPI because it'll note and put on the carfax
anything documented wrong with it...that actually kinda struck me as odd. The car is supposedly well maintained...he has a big envelope with a million receipts from him and previous guy...says he put all the best parts on...but, the cf trunk was
slightly misaligned, exhaust tips too...gas cap apparently pops open at will and can't move driver seat forward because release clip is broken. Doesn't have a 2nd key, which I read in that article you linked is costly...$250...also smells of gas
in the cabin because he opted for the catless headers...he suggested getting cats...but the ones he said that were high performance are another $500...so I'm out $750 on a car I haven't even touched yet ...
I think that blue and the CSL CF bits got me going full retard, but alas. Why do I need my weekend car to be able to carry my entire family when I have 2 other cars for that.

Overall, I think I'm learning my lesson to not just go on feelings and a smile...oh he was a nice guy, but there's always a reason he's selling.

The drive home with the S2000 was glorious...65 degrees out...top down flying down the highway with the sharp cutoff of the cbi in the projectors...I drove the S2000 on purpose so I'd have a back to back comparison and
so I wouldn't try and make myself think the S2000 sucks just to be okay with getting rid of it. To be honest, I'd miss it a lot more than I think I like to admit. It's a great little car for date night, I just need to start making more of an effort to take it out on the weekend chores so I get some use out of it.

In addition, I'd be going from a 3 owner, never seen snow S2000 that I know is sorted out (save for a top, which I'll do shortly)...to a carfax where I'd be owner #8, 2 accidents and back and forth from FL to NY the first 10 years of it's life.

Fuck it...at least I explored an option...helps make smarter decisions later.

clutch replacement (with alignment and tax): almost 2200
new starter 350
CMC 200
CSC 150
navi repair 225
retint windows 400 (this I'm guessing, but probably not far off.. Tint is fading to purple. Bleh)
brake shoes for ebrake 80
APP sensor 250
tranny drain and fill 3x3 150 (using GMSMFM)
new rear window motor replacement 175
probably add engine/tranny mounts in there... Haven't even looked into those yet.

Plus... Where Justn was right... Him and I had a long stupid argument about brake fluid on paint. I argued it to no end, because after my brake line burst, I end up getting fluid all over my fender. I wiped it up as soon as I could and it was fine for several months... Fast forward 10 months later, and the clear is peeling and the fender started to rust. FUCK. I also had some minor damage on the rear quarter, near the bumper. It's not terrible, but the paint is scratched and not repairable. I was quoted about 2k to have it all fixed properly. I could do without that, but the fender repair will easily be $800. Or I just roll on dirty.

So, yes, Justn, you were right and i was wrong and I'm a dirty whore sausage eater and I'm sorry for arguing with you. Oddly enough, that brake fluid also covered my rim when the line burst and it seems to be holding up still.
I don't think you have looked for parts hard enough.

Starter -> $120
Shoes for ebrake -> $20 each
CMC -> ~$50
CSC -> ~$100
Tint -> Remove yours first then $300, otherwise double the price cause removing tint is a PITA (also what shit tint did previous owner put? 80ies want their purple tint back)
App sensor -> $170
rear window motor replacement -> $50 for reman + $20 for core or like < $30 for salvage one
tranny drain and fill with GMSM you can find for $15 per qt., also no 3x3 you nutjob.

Prices from rockauto/autopartsway/tuner shops for GMSMFM

I know GP16 has access to like 5 million wrecked TL's, he can find you a window motor replacement for cheap + shipping, maybe other things you need including body parts. I just went and picked up a driver side left door to replace mine because of rust.

Cmon wrench a little, you got a garage, use it.

I asked him, because I can't find any fucking wrecked TLs in wreckers here. A good friend of his has a body shop (and 2 running TLs nearing 300k km?!), met him real quick when I went to pickup the door. So he finds TLs and gets them towed there, and Thanh canibalizes them.
When I went he had 3 with various level of parts left.

Also how many cars do you have now man? I saw the vagon on a tow truck picture, so I imagined you sold the blue TL-S. But then you got a 1999 TL? Doesn't Betty have a SRX too? wat?!

i haven't had much luck with the newer auto wreckers here in the past. I can give them another try though. Those part prices are straight from torontohondaparts.com. They're the cheapest place I know of here for OEM parts that cross over to Acuras. Some of the prices weren't even that much more than delray Acura.

i haven't seen GP16 on here in a bit. Is he still around? Does he have open access at the wreckers there? Here, you can't enter the wreckers with newer cars. Sucks.

Either way, I'd take a reman'd starter and motor, as long as it's OEM. I don't want Napa or partsource or whatever else parts.

Not sure why you want OEM for a starter and window motor (or pretty much all the parts you listed needing replacing), but that's me. Prices are for OEM-like replacement, because nobody will give a shit when you sell them your car with an Acura branded window motor. Maybe you'll get dirty fo fiddy more, but that's best case scenario.

Just the S2000 and Wagon, B got the SRX.

Listen, I'm all for ribbing and going back and forth, that's part of the fun...but flying off the handle every time someone does it back to you, or says something contradictory and telling them FUCK YOU,
Which you have done to me REPEATEDLY. Then telling me in so many words to go kill myself and calling me names isn't called for. Calling you Adumb jokingly or teasing you about your logic doesn't warrant it either, but if you genuinely
get that hurt by it, I will no longer interact with you in that capacity.

Again, I'm not joking at this point...I've been very passive because I've never taken you too seriously, but enough is enough.
If you don't believe me, keep pushing it. And yes, I expect an apology and for you not to do it anymore.

This goes beyond Ramblings, you've done it numerous times when I've kept cool and asked you to chill. Now I'm telling you to.
Let me know if you'd rather spend your time on almostagtr.com forum or wherever you go for the nissan.

I've even taken up for you when people talk shit about you...which is probably the most annoying part. Johnny disagrees or says you're wrong and you immediately apologize.
I guess I just rub you the wrong way.

If you have a problem with me specifically, I can understand that.

You can rub me the wrong way, deermeat-san~

Also the TL joke is pretty good, because it's not far fetched that you would do that.

Oh and typo in your sig? 2010 wagon not 2001? Unless you're some sort of alternate reality time traveler J, then disregard the fact that in this reality there was no CTS in 2001.

Also somebody masterbatin' on J black TL once again in a wheel thread.

You know you fucked up J, should have kept it. That TL reeled in more dicks than an LSA ever could (which doesn't seem believable but apparently it is true)
