Do cameras "degrade" after too many clicks? I'm curious why a used camera would have that listed...

I'll look used market..

No, I guess they expect a body would have a certain "mileage" before you'll have an issue...
mileage being clicks.

I love photography.. I have two D90s and 5 lenses on Nikon.. I'm invested. I also have about 10k in gear from pops (F bodies and glass)
I was going to step up and get the D8xx. Decided to go the other route.. homegirl got the D810 and I got the a6000 for our India trip.
Homegirl had the D7k and versed in photography, but the learning curve on the D810 was high, and even though she had good glass..
she was fucking around with the shot setup and I go in there take the shot like nothing, compare snaps and she'd get butthurt look like.. wtf!
For casual photography, video, can't beat off alpha6000/6300, fucking fast AF, AE, plus world class image stabilization.. and the fucking price!!
like I said though glass is more than other platforms, but holds it's value.
Homegirl just went on a trip to Australia.. spent over 2k on a 28-70 f/2.8 lens.. I was like.. wtf. It's all relative.

The only thing that sucks with the a6xxx is you start treating it like a point and shoot.
The electronic viewfinder is kind of a joke too (it's good, but the screen right durr).
I found that the biggest transition hang up.
I like looking through the peephole.

Damn, really?
That's insane...for a camera head, it would have to be PRETTY impressive to warrant a brand change once you're invested in glass.

The oracle of HDR put me on it.. Trey Ratcliff, Mr. Smithsonian, Senor Overprocessed
He was a big Nikon guy too

Trey Ratcliff?s Camera Equipment and Tools

I would usually say to newbies to start with a used low budget DSLR with a couple of lenses.. learn..
Butt fuck it.. grow with the times mang. You can either really know your gear and do some super fucking cool stuff manual / quasi-manually..
or download teh app and let it do it for you with a press here or there.. shit is bananas.. too easy captain.

Nikon glass is relatively cheap, and I still shoot with my Nikons.. just not nearly as much. It does feel good to shoot with them though.

E-mount glass isn't terrible, but it's a bill or two more than Nikon..
more and more 3rd party lenses plus adapters.. soo.. if you're really cheap, there's options.

Sony e-mount lenses
24 f/1.8 - $800
35 f/1.8 - $400
50mm f/1.8 - $300
10-18mm f/4 - $750
55-200mm - $350

The body of the a6000/6300 looks small. I like it. Easier to lug around.

does the screen tilt at all? I found a used 6000 for $680, and a used 6300 with some extras for $1150.
