Many years ago I worked at a plant in the middle of nowhere, essentially. We had rattlesnakes and bullsnakes aplenty. There was one guy, a real Bible thumper, preachy, "Jesus says" type who told me he goes out of his way to run over snakes in the road.
I was just like, bruh, you an asshole. I'd stop my car, put on the flashers and go chase them across the road.

I got made fun of at work for relocating a black widow spider...
and for shedding a tear when they killed a coral snake...they did a bad job, it was writhing in pain, so I finished the job reluctantly.
Then I looked it up and nobody had died from one in 20 fucking years...like, really...we have a huge expanse of field behind the yard, let it be.
