there's always sony/canon or sony/nikon adapters for the glass..

Screen does tilt quite a bit... useful for a giant like you. It's soooo much lighter / easier to carry.. much like a P&S.
I get annoyed carrying so much equipment. I don't even think about the Sony.. you'll hardly notice it (peen).

well I'm not buying just yet. And that's the posted price... There is room for negotiation, I'm sure.

Ill do some reading and settle on something soon enough. I am leaning towards the Sony right now because it sounds like I can take some nice pics even if I don't totally know what I'm doing. As long as it has the ability for me to learn and turn the ninnies off, I'd be game.

anyway, then I can save up my pennies (read: penises) and buy one soon enough. Even if it does go over the budget a little, the price of the one I suggested wasn't too bad, and I'm sure I could knock off 50-75 bucks off that price

Yeah, the focus isn't as fast as direct emount lenses, but good option.. some say it's not seamless though.
MF is fine for good glass that's $$, good compromise and probably preferred to those making the switch.

That's called "Government House". No idea what it's actually used for. It's beside the old provincial museum. A nice area.

er, I mean... That's my personal gardener in the bottom right corner of the photo.

I took that pic with a Sony P&S camera I have. It has some nifty features for a $200 waterproof camera we bought like 4 years ago.
