Although it would be better if they kicked out all of the under 60 crowd and just made this RLXzine. Can't win 'em all though...

Well, you buy it for yourself...and don't care if it's imitated or not...A Rolex is a fine watch with some history and prestige to it. It's pretty impressive.
Still, it's not MY watch per se. I'd rather use the $$$ for a Rolex on another watch brand.
For such a $$$ watch, I wish Rolex would at least offer clear casebacks. My biggest gripe about them.

Yeah I guess so... my father went to Beijing and got stopped by some shady looking guy selling Rolex watches about 10 years ago. From a quick look, the thing looked ridiculously well made for a copy, so he ended up buying it cause why not, you can wear it while doing manual labor. I can't imagine how good the well made copies are now.

When I used to frequent Mexico more often, I struck up a conversation with a vendor in a Mercado about his watches. He had some really boot looking ones I laughed at but then he busted out a tray from under his display case with some really good ones. Showed me a catalog with the various levels of quality and prices. I was surprised that there are bootlegs that are almost as much as the real thing.
/CSB.
There is actually quite the impressive range of counterfeits. From the super bad $10 Rolx's to the actually really convincing $1000 Rolex's.
