Well, the way they mix in the real footage made me find it very credible. What a vile man...all while being very compassionate and loving to those around him.

And dude, episode 4 or 5...there's a scene with a group of Hormels in a bed...guaranteed you'll need to borrow my towel after that one. Especially if you watch it alone in your private room.

We had fun today, took the familia out to enjoy the day +dinner.. opened her up and got squirrelly on the streets. When the tires are cold, it's laughable. You definitely drive a fun ride J and have driven some fantastic rides. I'm not sure how the V measures up, but if anything happened to the TL or you did need to upgrade in a year or two, I'm sure you'd have a shit ton of fun in the V. Test drive one someday ese!

I was talking to the wife this eve about the Wagon.. I was like, we should have gotten one, but it's 12k more. She was like.. it's worth it!

You came on the right weekend. Don't get raped.. you probably will.
Yea I wasn't really a fan of the trailer park. I liked the crossroad one better. That smokey brisket, jalapeño and avocado

The tacos were ok, but way too salty. Then again I'm usually on a strict lower sodium diet, so whenever I eat out, it's all too salty now.

I'll look up gordoughs if I can.

Fuuuu gonna get fatter on this trip. All my weight lifting the past 2 months for nothing

The 3G Ramblings & General Discussion Thread (Trois)

Oh man busy day today!!! Saw some really awesome cars just driving around OC...

First I saw a nice clean CTS-V sedan in the parking lot...The 3G Ramblings & General Discussion Thread (Trois)-photo866.jpg
Because of you ninjas, Maj specifically... This car is growing on me...

Then I saw a FREAKING RHD R32 Skyline V Spec II The 3G Ramblings & General Discussion Thread (Trois)-photo527.jpg.. I hate that he put the GT-R badge on with what I believe are r35 wheels but I saw it jump as I was coming onto the freeway and had to catch up to make sure it was legit and RHD.. My family thought I was crazy but thought it was cool when I caught up with it (hey NSA, no speeding involved, just clever maneuvering of traffic..)

Then I saw a stupid shitty Corvette with gold foil wrap... The 3G Ramblings & General Discussion Thread (Trois)-photo238.jpg..

I hated it so much I had to take a pic to share..
Throughout the day I saw 5 s2ks... 3 within a 3 mile stretch of freeway... S2ki meet maybe...

On the other spectrum, I saw a P85D and a new 90D in blue... .. I'd love to own a Tesla...

Just had to share this because I thought y'all would appreciate it!

Oh also went with the gf's brother to the HS parking lot to do some turns behind the wheel.. Only stalled twice !! And it was because he went from teaching reverse to, "NOW GO FROM REVERSE TO FIRST AND GO!" That was too much to comprehend at once I did drive home though and didn't stall so that's a start!!! I think just a few more hours behind the wheel and I'll start being comfortable... I definitely overthink the driving a lot and need to work more on the feeling... When I was staring at the tach trying to look at when to depress clutch or how much to gas, it was shaky.. But when I just was chatting with him and driving, it was much better!

Just gotta practice some more and I think I will get the hang of it...

K now to the corn versus flour tortilla debate 2015... I preferred flour to corn for the longest time because the texture of store bought corn sucks.... Then I went and experienced real legit fresh corn tortilla made right in front of you from fresh masa.... fricking game changer man.....

So if I'm making at home, it's flour. If I'm going o an authentic Mexican joint, it's fresh masa corn tortillas all the way!! Being in LA, you get your fair share of delicious Mexican, freaking love it... And it doesn't even have to be expensive.. Some of the cheapest places are also some of the most delicious... I'm sure Austin/TX is the same, I gotta go back and get some real Tex-Mex and hit up Maj can't say I'm a fan of queso yet... Haven't tried a real good one yet that's why... I'll make sure to have some Lactaid on hand when I do come down though

Is the automatic 08 TL-S noticeably faster and more fun to drive than a regular automatic 08 TL?

Im a brand new owner of an 08 TL and new member of this site. But seeing all the pictures of the TL-S's is making me want to already replace the car I just purchased

^^^welcome and no, same shit. get your headlights modded to look like a type s...

Joe, sounds like a neat little day, man...must be fun to scare the shit out of the fam in that thing! I think you're right on the money and on my car lineage. In the next few years I'd think even the Wagon will drop down into the 30's at which point I should be able to pull it off. It helps that the TL stopped depreciating and actually gained some back when the 4G released

Adding the utilitarian aspect of a rear hatch that opens and seats that fold down for a guy that practically lives at home depot is a great selling point, to me. "oh babe, we can take the SRX"...sure, but then I can't stop at HD on my own on the way home from work and I get the "did you put that scratch on my interior" every other time... Plus, a tight convertible and a sedan with no folding seats...

Johnny...I drove 2.5 hours per day round trip in traffic with a 5MT Accord...over time, you don't even think about it. Manual transmission is a way of life. Live it.
So you haven't driven an NSX, have you?

To be honest, I'd be hard pressed to differentiate between the two if I had a blindfold on. Both are boner-engorging-rific.

Not sure if serious? While I'm sure there are some that had suffered terribly, you also have to consider the jackass behind the wheel operating it. If you're talking about grinding, meh, I haven't come across a higher mileage honda transmission that doesn't grind on the occasion. Of course, GMSMFM always helps reduce it just that much more.

Autos are brutal. The sport tuned ones are hella better, but dat third pedal still gives me a boner. Every time I have to drive the Sonata, I let out a deep sigh and cry a little I wish we could have found a new, optioned out sedan for under 40k (CAN) with a 6MT. They just don't exist. But I'm blessed with having two 6MTs myself!!

I mean, you've been driving stick on the forums for a long time, time to put it into play.
Getting about town, yes. But I, at least personally, feel I'm still learning on honing my Manuela skills. Getting the basics down doesn't take too too long, but then learning to shift faster and faster, and then learning rev match down shifting and finally heeltoe takes time. I still fuck up my heeltoe or rev match downshifts on occasion. Gotta master dat throttle blip

Lol, funny to see you southern boys get all excited about these. Granted, the V Spec is rare, but there's not a day where I don't see a R32 GTR, or the lower GTS-T. And most look like dirty drift sluts owned by 18 year old kids with no money, although occasionally a beautiful specimen does show up.

If it don't have "pump cheese" and meat that comes out of a caulking gun, it simply isn't a real taco

Trying for Bbq Tuesday

Franklins is bueno.. but LA BBQ (La Barbecue), Mueller's, Freedman's are all lineage places.. pretty fucking close, especially LA BBQ. Mickletwait is great too, but I usually time that place wrong (either closed or meat all gone). Anyways.. that's in-town BBQ. People are going to say it's the best..

And it's pretty fucking good, but there are places with more charm that are just as good in my books.. and not all BBQ places getting everything perfect. If you hit the 3 up above.. it's all about the beef.. brisket, beef ribs. If the line is freaking long at Franklin's (it usually is), go to LA BBQ, Freedman's or Mueller instead.

My favorite spot is Black's in Lockhart, worth the drive. Fucking beef rib doesn't get much better in my book.. plus sides and sweet tea.. fucking jackalope, blue grass bands on Sunday.. perfect. Plus shoot like a fucking boss at Lone Star up the road.

Even fucking Salt Lick or Rudy's is still good in my book.. I love Rudy's brisket, extra moist, 1 lbs, + 1lbs st louis ribs and a pint of cream corn.. add some fancy wax paper and a bag of white bread +famous tangy sauce.. peace out.

Franklins (3 hr line, meat sells out, get there at 9:30-10 latest to be sure eat)
La Barbecue
Freedmans
Mueller
Micklethwait (fuck this place bc no one spells it right, ughh.. but the sides and sausages)
Blacks in Lockhart (no other Blacks will do)
....

Salt Lick (not at the airport)
Rudys (convenience store BBQ / Shell gas station), where else can you fill your fucking tank and your belly with tasty BBQ. If you answer this question, I'll kick you in your nuts.

Don't forget to get a link of sausage.. must be crisp on the outside or it ain't right. Plus pinto beans stewed in brisket and burnt ends, plus any other kick ass side you can shove down your pie hole.. oh.. and fucking pie! a la mode. nao!

Recapping.. order brisket, beef ribs, sausage, smoked turkey if you must, +sides +desert +sweet tea. Don't be a pansy and get a diet coke.. I'll kill you!
