I guess the other issue is I'm not sure what kind of maintenance will be needed on the car. I have no idea if the T belt was ever done, and going by mileage, it's supposed to be done rather soon. If it hasn't been done before, it's a 21 year old belt.

I also have no baseline to go by to see how tight the suspension is. Replacing bushings and what not is a pain in the ass and pricey. I can't even get parts from the US anymore due to the brutal exchange rate. And that's the other thing- it's 21 years old. I'm not sure how easily available parts are for that thing, especially since no other car used that particular engine (C32a2, I believe).
If SS brake lines are an issue to you, I don't think you'd like wrenching on a 21 years old car.

you know.. I still haven't seen yo cred in the wrench dept here.

I will say that 21 yr old Legend is probably cleaner and in better shape than any of your rides in here. Clean AF. I'd be concerned about mucking up the paint in the engine well while working on it.

I bought a car that had little maintenance to be done on it. So far the only necessities have been PS cooler replacement, brakes on 4 corners, transmission drain & fill + pressure switches & filter and oil changes. Kinda happy about that too. Need to rebuild the PS pump and replace bushings and motor mounts at some point.
I'll do the TB in a year or two depending on mileage.

At least I ain't fucking it up. #justonjacks

I like how it has the "upgraded" 16" wheels they look like spare tires on that car... Oh, 1994...

No you don't...
all dem monies in your account!

I have never cared about the legend, per se...but I can appreciate an older car that well maintained. I considered it but there's no way I'll own 3 cars and get to keep my life intact.

Once you get in Quebec through the usual roads (AKA the south of Ontario or north of NY), Montreal is very close. Ontario is never ending though... that was the most boring part of my road trip. Like 2-3 freaking days of forest depending on how much driving you do.

Got more detail on the legend...

1. Tbelt and water pump were changed at 10,000 miles. I'm guessing that was around 2005-2006.

2. All fluids changed at 23,000 miles. I'm guessing that was 07-08.

3. Tires changed in 2007 and are getting down on tread. He says rears are worse than fronts. How the hell is that possible on a fwd car?

4. Rear brakes need replacing (at least pads, maybe even rotors)

While aesthetically clean, the maintenance isn't all that fantastic... Nothing bad, but I'd expect a bit more love for this thing.

Look at the bright side: at least you have someone around to point out your faults 24/7!

Kevin...you deserve better than a corolla...but don't settle for any other car or you'll hate yourself. A camry is nice...if you're 100 and :ghey:

Pick a car that you loved 10 years ago...and buy it.

3. Probably rotated tires, they used to be in front now he put them in the back? Ideally the tires with the better traction should be in the rear... don't want the back swinging out on you lol

Adam...that's a very reasonably priced and very hard to find dream car. Buy it. Not even kidding. Buy it today.
Figure out the details of what you'll do with your other 2 rides soon. I'm assuming you're in a financial position to be able to do it and not be rushed into which to sell to come back up with the cash.

The wife will understand if she realizes you're not being impulsive and thought it out. Helps to make her part of the conversation and decision.

Here's how I see it...you can find another TL
you can find another Miata (or man up and S2000 next time )

You will likely not find another Legend in that condition for a price you can afford.
