I was always pretty lucky but then again I don't fly for work or anything.
There was that one time in a smaller CRJ 700 where we'd get pretty big drops every so often and we were like 2 in the plane + the crew. Other person, a chick was scared shitless and one of the stewardess and I were just chuckling and chatting.
