we are too polite to do anything else. Soon you'll see the passive aggressiveness coming out from both of us but then we will eventually profusely apologize to one another
You know it's hard to impress people from Florida. If it ain't about a toddler shooting their mom while riding a gator in Walmart who's completely high after snorting a new drug made from powdered feces, it ain't worth mentioning.
the redneck diesel trucks likely don't help. I was at a red light just the other day, in front of a high school (). Well, there were two young guys in their old, shitty diesel pick ups, side by side, in front of me. Apparently it's cool to do brake stands while hammering the throttle so that everything gets covered in black smoke fucking assholes.
But let's be honest here- I remember you saying your allergies were really bad on a number of occasions, with where you live

Well, that's cuz the air quality where I'm at is lousy too.
*sneezes* Just got in from cutting the grass (working casually from home today).
And LOL, FWIW...having observed both sides of the North American fence, I don't get how Canadians are "nicer". Maybe POLITE is more the word but even then, I think it's more of a stereotyped myth...In San Diego as an example, the people there are significantly NICER than anyone in Canada. And I've been to my share of towns, cities, and etc. for pleasure and work. So I dunno. Heck, ever seen two ladies FIGHT it out in Zellers (back when it was open) for a discount on SHEETS? I did.
What did you settle on? Artificial turf or just real grass?
oh man, I'm just doing an artificial grass putting green. Otherwise I'd be paying like 20k to do my whole property in that stuff. No thanks.
I'm not a big fan of having lots of grass- I prefer it more of an accent piece, finishing off nice landscaping... But our property is just too big to be able to do that. Oh well. Gives the dog a lot of room to run around.

Ah nice. So, curious (since I need to do landscaping on my place being built next spring): How much did you get quoted to get a putting green put down if you hired someone?

i agree... I think it's an overblown stereotype. But hey, 3GR thrives on stereotypes. :thief:

not cheap. For 140 sqft, I was quoted anywhere from 1800-2500. Decided to just do it myself. $1100 materials in total.
Putting green is a bit more complicated than just doing regular grass looking artificial turf. It takes quite a bit of work. Plus, I'm sure the more you get, economies of scale come into play.
a friend of mine is super busy running his personal business everyday and he has two dogs, so the grass in his yard is completely fried and he doesn't want to maintain it, due to his schedule. He is getting artificial turf put in, and it will cost him $5500.... And his yard is tiny.
whn I said it would take 20k to do our house, that's me doing it alone. Otherwise, add 8-10k on top of that.
I remember last time it was enabled, there was some way that you could do something and then start typing a user name and it would start self-populating the rest of the name.
There was also the brute force dummy way () where you had to add tags manually. [ utag ] and [ / utag ]

Hrm...after my meetings, I'll try the Mention feature again. Not working. Maybe something in my account's settings?
You need to have the notifications turned on to get a PM when someone tags you.
To tag someone, the only way I know is with the [ utag ] [/ utag ] (without the spaces).
I swear there was some way to get the interface to start autopopulating the user name when you were typing. But I am not good with computer so I don't know.
