Wife is getting drunk at a murder-mystery at a girlfriend's house.

Someone is getting lucky tonight.

Hi Gus...

How was everyone's weekend? I had a great one...kid party and my cousin's bday get together all on Saturday...so that went quickly. Got some time to do some housework. Sunday I fixed a sagging shelf issue with our pantry and finally got another 3rd vehicle I've been dreaming about for a LONG time.

After a full summer season of having to cut every 7 or 8 days...I got reprieve with the winter and not having to cut but once a month. I'd been dreaming of a riding mower for a while...started with a push mower, then got a self propelled...

The property is a third acre, but it's a corner lot and the outer swale area takes me 9 times around to cut, about 20 minutes to cut just that...at 20" at a time. So even if I hustled the entire yard cut, weedeating, edging and blowing (mizouse) take me anywhere from an hour and 40 minutes to 2 hours every time.

It's been hot and rainy and the weekly cuts are upon us...after last week getting home from work and cutting, I decided fk this...I want a rider. Started looking and it looked like I'd be getting a tractor style for anywhere from 500-800 for one in good shape.

BUT, my boss and friend had always told me...dude, zero turn are the way to go...so I looked those up and most were $1500-$4000 on CL...found one, $1000...settled at 900 and the guy included that cart you see attached (that'll come in handy for yard work!). I know it's a bit overkill for the yard, but for something I'll look forward to using every week...it was worth it, to me. I'm sure it would be $40/cut for a professional...so 120 during the summer months and 80 during winters...it'll have paid for itself withing a year.

I knew of it, Justin...but wasn't sure about it until I talked to my boss and read reviews...it has a Kawasaki Vtwin motor...24HP!

It was dirty, but oil was clean and gas too...it was a stoner skateboard dude in his late 30's...he was cool and runs a landscape company. He had tortoises and a macaw and a cockatoo...he was all gung ho and tried loading the damned thing onto my neighbor's truck with 2 boards and when he got to the top, BAM, he fell!!!! Luckily nothing happened to him, the truck or the mower but scarrrryyy...and he was like, oh dude...whoops. Made for a fun story at least!

DSC_3764 by rock star, on Flickr

We got it home and buddy, myself and betty got it off his truck...later I was reading up on it...I was like, no fuking wonder it was such a struggle, it weighs 580 pounds!

No way, I love cutting the grass...just don't wanna spend all day doing it!

About a third of an acre...like I said, it's overkill...but at the price I paid for it, it was worth getting that over a normal rider with a 30" diameter!

So basically someone had an influx of cash? :P

I'll PP you $25 towards the "J repaints that thing the same color his toolbox is" fund.

John Linn was like, dude, paint that bitch KBP!

Well...yes and no...I cleaned up the waffle wheels this weekend finally and need to list them for sale. I should be able to get $700-800 out of them, plus whatever I sell my snapper walk behind for...so I figured it was a good time to strike.

That's a $3200 mower!

It'd be cheap and pretty easy too considering there really isn't a lot of square footage to paint.

I think I'd rather see the toolbox color though not KBP. Then paint the wheels white again. Or fuck it darker wheels and use rubber paint to whitewall the tires. That'd be dope af.
