I can't believe I'm only lowered 2.6". Seems like a lot more, even with corrected camber.

I'm just a peaceful guy these days thanks to my buddy Johnny Wacker's recommendation.

BUT, I, for one, would really love to see that video and dere better not be no dang editing to ensure you're done at 25 minutes!!!

Wasn't much longer though.

2.6" is still pretty damn low. I'm probably at the same or 2.5". That one day I slammed it, it was too much.

The rear is slammed though.

Yours looks like it sits pretty evenly, man. I don't know how much more "slammed" you could be. Your tires are too bubbly to go all the way, I think...even with the rolled fenders.

Aaron, a fool I am, I guess. Figured if he made it, the least we could do is watch it!

Well, hopefully your 19" quest goes about the same as your quest to upgrade to RL calipers!

Your car does sit perfectly now...no need to tuck.

Edit: and have to say, yes Chadster, you did claim 25 minutes (pushed to 30 when was called) to PROPERLY uninstall rear seats, pillars and rear deck, swap speakers and put everything back together correctly with all clips and bolts and not have any creaking.

Don't want to get back into it because really, we've all moved past it, but that was the claim.

Pending approval I will no longer exist on this website any longer. So this is my last post.

I wish the best for you all. Some more then others.

I'll guest in every so often to check on J's car and use the garage when I need it. But aside from that I no longer wish to come here.

Which probably makes some of you happy and that's OK.

Chad

Edit: Considering my PMs are already gone I'm assuming it got approved mid post!
Edit 2: Oops, spoke too soon about approval.

Got my windshield replaced due to a huge crack in it. I asked for OEM, and they said it's OEM, but no where on the glass does it have any print of ACURA on it. Just some lamenated glass company. Did I get ripped off or are there OEM windshields that don't have the company on it?

you can get the windshield that Acura/Honda uses on their cars outside of Acura. The only way you're going to get a true Acura windshield is if you go to Acura and purchase. See if you can figure out who makes the OEM one from someone that still has the OEM windshield and compare manufacturers.

Only the original windshield from factory will have Acura on it. The rest will not. EVER.

You just have to make sure you get the right brand of windshield to keep your acoustics inside the cabin as the sound system was designed by some famous guy that nobody knows.

The Chad would shut down the whole Acurazine site if he could.

There's a really good thread on this somewhere, and warnings for distortion from other brands. Honda does NOT make their own glass, I'm sure you'd know.

This ain't it, but supports what i recall.
https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/distorted-windshield-555598/

Honestly, if he really feels that way, what can you do?! Haven't had much interaction with him much lately so can't say I'll miss him per se. I think we were fine though once we both came clean with how we felt and apologized for being childish. Drastic measure, though...

Thanks for the replies. Seems like the replacement is very good quality, feels good to finally have the huge crack gone. Thinking about tinting it now, 50% max. Anyone else have their windshields tinted?

pass. something about restricting what I can see out of the front of my car doesn't rub me the right way. Yea, probably useful in the daytime, but at night... bad news. Plus its money wasted if you get another rock chip in it.

Yeah you should definately put some tints on your windshield.

I would go with 75% though if you are going to do the "whole" windshield. Especially if you have darker tint on the rest of your car.

Good luck seeing the white lines on the road at night though.
