Parents packing up stuff now then heading out. I hope they make good time.

They are heading to Florida via Houston and meeting up with Justin to drop off his rifle for me and picking up the infamous foodsaver from when I left it at his house in December lol.

I hope my dad doesn't see that he is Asian and have flash backs of Vietnam while holding an M16. That could be a bad scenario...........

Well, considering it's only Justin's lower half that's Asian, unless he's pantless, he'll be alright.

DAD: "Hey Charlie, wut er you doing round these parts..."
CRUSTACEAN: "Uh, Mr. Sauceja, I'm Justin, I'm your son's friend looking to pick up mah gun"
DAD: "Yeah, Charlie (whirring chopper blades in head) you expect me to just hand this gun over ta yer yeller azz, huh"
CRUSTACEAN: "Sir, I'm now leaving, please have Jeff call me in reference to shipping"
DAD: "Oh, I see how it is, boy...chemical warfare, what's that wet stream making it's way down yer pantleg!?!?"

Nevermind, just stumbled across this.

At least you do your research, MEKO, I respect that a lot.

If they figure the offset #number, by putting the width of the rim into consideration, then that's right.

We only have to look at offset number to find out where the rim sits.

Since 20mm spacers sits perfect (IMO) with stockies
Which is +45 becoming +25

+25 is the best offset

Edit:

Let's take the 3rd picture with +10 offset and make the rims 7.75" width
.75" is 20mm
Wouldn't that suppose to give 10mm more poke to both side???

Offset is the that little distance with the center line and the hub
Has nothing to do with where the ends sit (as I understood)
That's why confuses me

Did you guys pay off most of your car before installing new suspension and an aftermarket wheel set up?

what I posted only takes into account where the face of the rim will sit in relation to the hub...that does NOT take into account the width of rim...

I didn't want to further complicate by bringing into the equation what Justin just added...lips and/or concave...that changes things in a major way because you'd have to now clear the bbk or caliper AND have some lip and know where it should end up in relation to the fender.

I'm not even that clear on that yet...i know of "hi disk" low disk etc...

I've seen people do many modding to a loan haha
and then taking apart everything and selling it

Depends on you. I am not a mod freak, but if I bought the car (not loan)
I wouldn't wait for to pay off most of it...

No, but I bought the car for cheap to begin with and used the money I made selling parts off the RSX to immediately buy the tein for the TL. Lowered car is a must for a part Mexican like me. Didn't wanna get disowned by my family.

Look at my car now. I've had it for less than a year and a half.

After 5-6 months of ownership, I put coils and wheels on, followed by A-Spec kit and all the other stuff I have.

Still making my payments all along too!

Got you J.

As I know from that xxr530 thread (I went over that 30 page for 2 times)
+20 offset doesn't clear the brembos, people use 6mm spacers
Which makes that we need at least +26 to clear brembos..

So I am right about the width of the rim issue

If I get +35 offset and 8.75" rim

45-35= 10mm
+
.75 (20mm) on both sides = 10mm on one side

Will poke 20mm more than the stock
Which is what I wanted

It's because of AZ
I paid the car in 5-6 years... never thought of modding it... until I signed up here at the end of the 6th year

Chill. I'm not basing what anyone else has done in my decision to lower my car, I was simply curious.
