Justn how the fawk did you say that??? just coz you thanked that post (like the 5500 other posts), doesnt mean that info supports you....
and the accident that you had where the insurance paid is considered against you....anything the insurance pays for your ass, its counted against you, unless THEY MENTION "ACCIDENT FORGIVENESS" !!!
with that said, I think we are essentially saying the same thing....with everything remaining the same, you, your car, your driving record, your insurance will go lower every year (but mine substantially went down when I turned 25)....
Also, you have to realize that you have had a longer history than I have....I got a SSN after I finished my masters and started a job (when I was 23) and got my car shortly after that....hence my history was very very less....and hence after 2-3 years of decent driving and paying the lawyers to get the tickets off my record, the insurance went down substantially....so its a lot of factors butttt my insurance did substantially drop when I turned 25 LOL...

Do u guys ever purchase the pure alcohol gas (no ethanol) from BP? It's more but I bet better power and better mileage. I have read that adding ethanol decreases fuel economy and power ( that's why E85 hasn't caught on IMO ) thanks.

I would buy ethanol-free gas if there was a station local to me that carried it.

Kfishy....am afraid this will start another debate...
but anyway, I always get my GAS at Sams...I did run pure gas (no ethanol) from Shell in Gardner and it did give me ever so slightly better gas mileage and cant really comment on performance coz from my OBDII monitoring tool, I was getting similar AFR/timing advance/fuel trim/etc
I figured the gas mileage difference was not worth getting pure gas since it was 10-15 cents more expensive than any other place which are usually 10-15 cents more expensive than sams....so not worth the extra 20-25 cents IMO....now if it were 5-10 cents more expensive and closer to where I live, I would have definitely given it a long term try...

Anyways where in kc are you? I purchase mine in lees summit at BP on 291 across from the new autozone. And it's only 10-15 more than premium and their premium btw is 93 octane.
Also just FYI the hyvees one off of Johnson and met calf and the other way down on west of I35 on 119th those hyvees have pure premium and not much more. Plus if you shop at hyvee you can use the fuel savings card. Even better!
I personally buy my gas only at 1st choice BP. 2nd. QT and 3rd Shell. Why? Cause BP and Shell have their own refineries so you know where it's coming from. Yes I'm sure others do too but that's just me. And QT because they guarantee their gas. Example being that years ago in south lees summit they got water in their tank and tons of customers including friends of mine had fuel related problems and QT paid for the repairs! Plus I like QT. best gas station bar none.
Hope you had a good weekend. Cheers.

I agree Sams is not on the list of top tier gas stations but I have been pumping at sams for the last 90K miles...no issues sooo far....I have a 170K on my TL (169,3xx)...
Else, I will just get gas at QT because I sometimes stop in to get some Black Mango Tea
But yeah, its been a while I have not pumped at Phillips 66 or Shell or BP (atleast constantly)...like if am driving down to TX or STL, I get gas at Shell/BP, however, I will leave KC with a full tank of Sams gas LOL....

That's cool I belong to Costco so I'll prob buy from them from time to time. Dang I just saw your tl and it's very nice. Hard to believe it has 170k on it. What was mileage when you bought it? Any problems? I'm hoping to get a tls with fewer than 60k. I have seen them and hope I can find one when I'm ready to purchase one.

There's 110 octane at a gas station around here. I think it's $8/gallon

I bought her home for the first time on May 22nd, 2007 with 60K miles on the odo...now in 6 years she has 170K miles....
so far no issues...only item which I replaced coz it "broke" was the rear caliper which seized on me....other than that, maintenance and modding only
I know sir....I have been wanting to go...but I needs brakes and rims and tires before I do...I got the rims, now time for tires and fitting them sons of bishes !!!
but yes, I do see myself hitting the track either later this year or for sure next year....

:what:
I used to know a guy that owned a fuel hauling company (tanker trucks). Through him I learned that there were only a few sources for fuel in the memphis area for stations to get their fuel from. Valero, Exxon, Lyon, and one other...I forget the name. The each had websites that had up to date pricing. When a gas station needed fuel, they would shop pricing and place an order for the cheapest. Those stations would then call my friends company to pick it up and deliver it. That supplier would add the shell/bp/citgo additives upon loading it into the tanker..... Just fuel for thought. Pun intended.
I'm not sure how it works in your area, but that is how memphis works.
SAMs and Walmart do have their own fuel trucked in regionally though (Murphy).
