1. His response to Skip Bayless is classic. Skip is a classless troll, and Sherman called him out. Skip classified Sherman as a no talent loud mouth that can't compete with the likes of a great corner like Revis. Yet the fact is, Sherman's numbers are better than Revis' numbers, and although Skip wanted to create some drama between the two, Sherman made sure the focus was to reveal the troll that is Skip Bayless. When Skip says that his disproven unfounded claims GAINS him credibility, proved that his credibility is in the arena of sensationalism and being a dumbass.
Point taken...I agree that Sherman was justified in his thrashing of Bayless.
2. Exactly and that's the point you're missing. If someone talks trash about you before the game and you show them up, of course you're going to relish in it. Some might internalize it (the minority), he vocalizes it. Crabtree talked trash about him, Brady was being cocky to him ("come see me after we win").. If the guys you played with hammed it up, stirred your emotions, would you shake their hand and let it go, even if said person shoved your face away? You might, I wouldn't. At the end of the day, nothing personal, it's a game, why do people care who aren't on the field? Plus.. as Justn basically noted, if you're not loved, at least be the one they love to hate. More attention, more opportunities, mo' money.
But I have had guys talk trash to me...on the basketball court, on the golf course...but I didn't shout to the world after shutting them up...just said it to them...

The difference with a progress thread is, "Here are my pictures of what I have done to my car, do you guys like it?" Not, "Check my car out bitches, it be hotter, faster, and all pro more than your car!" I have felt like guys were shouting about their cars, at least not in the progress threads I've looked at. They have always seemed like, "I did this mod...I think it looks cool."
