not a problem and honestly no one had a gun to your head to buy the stuff...we exchanged emails and I told you what I felt....I also mentioned that I did this mod along with PCD's and hence it was tough to pinpoint where the gains are coming from....

and until now, I had absolutely no hard feelings but it feels like no matter the way the sale had gone, you would have been unhappy about it even though I was the one who sold the items for the price I paid plus fees and shipping out of my pocket plus a downtime on the car....

As Maj mentioned, I have a set of USR side markers which I can easily sell for 75-80 bucks....but since am not using it, I will be installing them on Matt's car...

all the locals here, I have never charged them a dime for anything I have done on their car or if I have something sitting in the garage that am not using, I usually just hand it to them....

Sounds like some shadetree mechanic shlamalamadingdong logic. I remember when guys were getting bigger TBs, boring the shit out of it, shaving the butterfly valve down.. for 0.0001 performance improvement and then 10% loss.

it was kinda like that MDX spacer which got quite popular...

the low end gains were amazing but if you are ported and polished, you loose high end....the power just plateaus after 6100 rpm-ish....

this was kinda the same way....and +1 on boring the TB out...haha, I paid 150 to maxbore to get mine done....I did feel the gains after that....but I just feel my behind is very sensitive and my mind plays tricks

No way, ER doc is very stressful. I had family friend who was an ER doc. Fucking outstanding guy. Went on a couple of shadows when he was on call. It was cray. The hospital admin is all like, let this fucker die, he can't pay.. ethically and morally, the business of being an ER doc is shit. He almost lost his job over it, but saved lives. Our other friend went on a shadow, she saw some gangbanger with his penis blown off because he tucked his berner into his waistband.. yeah, no thanks.

He told me if he had to do it again, he would have chosen engineering. He had primo rides though. Turbo 911.. E55 AMG. Always the first car / motorcycle on the lot. This was back in the day.. when cars had no tech. The E55 had voice-recognition phone and navi, it was nuts.

Anyways, he died quietly at the age of 45. His ticker stopped ticking. He saved many lives including my godfather's life twice (heart attack and appendicitis). I think I would like being an ER doc because of the pace and the money is great, but no.

Must be different in Canuck hospitals then. I have a few medical doctor friends and they all say ER (while it deals with alot of trauma...) is pretty easy. Most of the time (i.e. 90%), trauma situations immediately go to Gensurg for operation and or internal medicine. For broken bones (i.e. hand is the most), that actually gets forwarded to the plastics doc on call.

So, the ER doc kinda doesn't do much.

And only gwai-lo dentists off themselves. Us dentists would have so much $$$, we'd be too busy swimming in it to off ourselves.

I guess canuck doks don't see too many gangbangers with blown off penises.

Although, hockey accidents do happen.

Like I said...those go straight to general surgery.

So, again...ER doc kinda just looks at a person who is over-reacting about getting the plague when they only have a bad cold.

The General Car Discussion thread is always amusing to me...

On one hand, you have an actual real conversation going...and on the other, someone standing in the sidelines, desperately trying to think of the next "cool" topic she can start and/or going "ooo! ooo! me!" while the adults are talking...She posts a weird thought or a video that no one cares about and gets crickets...Repeat.

Ahhhh...I amuse myself too much. I blame the long winters and long days waiting for data to finish converting.

OK...car subject...I have an 08 Base with Aspec lip kit. One thing that really bugs me is the stock exhaust tips aren't flush with the bumper/rear Aspec...any of you guys ever had them extended to be flush? I noticed that the pipe from the muffler to the tip is bent, is that a problem?

yeah the ECU is done....

it was a great idea and from what I hear from Andy/Kurt and a few others, it works great when done right (has like a billion options) and its tough to figure your way around it....

I have been messing with the software for a while now....when I went to connect my ECU to the car, I found out that Rodney had sent me out the wrong harness....so it was back to searching....

recently someone was buying the ECU from someone and had a 2005 harness and he owned a 2007 car....we decided to pay shipping and exchanged harnesses....after that the car runs great but I just need to get it tuned....

it was honestly a great opportunity for Rodney and the community....with a good tuning option, boost would have been a very good option for people who are trying to make power....

Rodney still (last when he posted) was mentioning he wants to make it right for us....I think thats far in the future....

For Justin, I would suggest just texting him every now and then....he still owes me 2 pigtails, fuel pump and AFR gauge (I ended up getting a used Innovative LM2 on the BM) and I text him every week or so asking for a status....at time he replies and other times just ignores it LOL

There is a thread about extending the tips to be flush. Basically go to exhaust shop, pay them $50, done.

Rodney is probably a good guy, but he is way over his head. The mouth eats what the stomach can't hold. Either shit it out or stop eating.

You guys need to think $ vs gain. Is it really worth it? Probably not. Just buy racecar.

Also, I can make a wire harness. Just give me the spec.. and pay me $1k.

Found that thread...used that fancy google thing...mixed feelings about extending them, a couple guys said don't do it...hmmm, a conundrum.

^^^ I think off the 17 payments he took, he only delivered 14 or 15....

I think Justin and Feji were the 2 left on the list....he also took money for items like fuel pump and AFR gauges and injectors and pigtails and never delivered them....

he did put a $20 P2R EGR block off plate for me...so that was nice of him....

I think he messed up by setting the time expectation wrong....like RV6 exhaust, Rich sets a delivery ETA of 1 year...so people pay and wait a good 7-9 months before getting it....Rodney set a time of 4 weeks, I urged him to say 2 months since incase you have a hiccup, you have some buffer....he went and mentioned turn around time of 5 weeks....

after payment when week 6 arrived he was already backed up....and under pressure....before you know it, he couldnt deliver and it was between that and (am guessing) running out of money that he was not able to fulfill all orders....

the ECU itself was not a bad deal...1250 for the ECU and harness with a tune on it was a great deal....but he promised he would have some post sales support which he didnt....so it was a combination of multiple things....

Amateur hour. If your time is worth it, the price should reflect it. He sold himself short and suffered the consequences of it. Customers screwed over, bad rep, and nothing to show for it. My take anyways.

Justn, are you out $1K+??

I can tell you exactly since I still have the orders spreadsheet....

Well he was not making any money on this....after paying the tuner and testing various things and dyno time he was actually loosing money....

but like all things, he had like an introductory offer or a group buy....if he would have delivered and made the customers happy, am very very sure he would have paid off for all the rnd and made couple pretty pennies since a lot of people were just waiting to see the results and then put money into it....

he almost had me convinced to turbo my car...its was just then I realized that whats the point of all this on an heavy FWD 5at car....so I just left the car alone....I dont think I have done a single mod to it in almost a year...now I just enjoy it....

hell, I recently sold my beloved true duals for RV6 V3 jpipe and XLR8 resonated catback exhaust plus cash....

I think I just want to do/get the tuning right and leave it be....she already has almost a 180K miles on her....

It's not about weight, it's about traction, and isn't your car under 3k lbs.. or is that theoretical..

Bert's TL spanked the shit out of a lot cars on the road. He went form 40-100 in a blink of an eye.

last i weighed her, she was at 3050 (without me in it but with gas)....

after that I have taken almost 100lbs off after that but added around 25-30 lbs....so am guessing she is at 2980 right now....now when I get rims, I hope I will be down another 50lbs atleast....

and yeah Bert had a ton of wheel spin though....once the tires hooked I bet he was gone but for the power he was putting down, it didnt really translate well on the 1/4 mile....

I think it was the same issue Andy was having....makes great power but putting it down was the issue....
