with a real summer, I guarantee you wont be slipping at all.
255 would be the widest I would ever go for performance.
my friends have put 265/275's but they're geared more for looks.
if you look at your 255's, the outside of the tires arent even being used.
the only time, i use my full 255's is when Im sliding around a TIGHT curve at like 60 or 70.

my rims are 16 lbs and tires are 23ish lbs....
TE37/CE28/Q1/Type C which are the lightweight kings are around 14-16lbs for 18x9....eager to see your next setup....if you know you gonna run some skinny tires, do get an aggressive setup
(+18 to +23 offset)...

Ideally, I'd like 18x9 or 18x8.5 +25 running a 225/40/18.

Austin, on an OEM setup running 235 tires and +45 offset...most people get away with 20-25mm spacers...
by running 225 tires, you have 25-30mm....if you get 18x9 +25 and run 225 tires....you will be poking only 20mm, so still have 5mm room to be flush....not sure if your fenders are rolled, but a +20 will fit perfectly IMO![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
here is the link I found very very helpful
http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
the only thing which this site doesnt do is if you put a 225 tire, it will only let you select a 8.5" wheel or less...if you select a 9" wheel, it bumps it up to a 9" wheel....
still a pretty awesome calculator

Burning Brakes
Eh Jeremy,
How were the DDM Tuning bulbs compared to the OEM's? Similar output just different colour?

I would not do DDM for the D2S. Go Morimoto if you don't want to pony up for CBI/SVS.
Keep DDM to the fogs.

Lol well they're already sitting in my room, I was just wondering before I installed them. Good thing they were only $24.

There is a reason. You'll like the color. Hell the lumen output may even be the same. But I believe the dispersal on the DDM leaves much to be desired. Plus they will color shift and, just from my experience, flicker a lot while warming up.
That's the thing with the CBI/SVS bulbs. Sure the lumens may be up a little, and I mean real world just a little, but the way they concentrate light is better then most.
Edit: Try em. It's not too big of a job just switching out the bulbs.

Thanks, Justin. You sexy beast.
Edit: I like my Morimoto 5ks. I had improvements over my stock bulbs. Although I'm sure age, zkw-r lenses, and a proper headlight tune made the difference. Color is great. Dispersal is good. However, they do flicker/fluctuate more then the stock bulbs when warming up. I'm talking for like 10 seconds of course...

Well the main reason for the switch was to match my switchbacks. I really dislike the yellowish output of OEM, so for $24 I figured why not try it out. I'll obviously be keeping the OEMs so if I hate the DDM's then it'll be an easy swap back.
Very informative post though, so I appreciate that Chad.

Hey, makes sense to me. Good luck.
I'm a much more likable person after I've had a few. And the boss left at noon today so you do the math...![Wink](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
In other news I have a huge lineup this weekend. I'm test driving four different vehicles at 2 different dealerships. A 2010 e82, 2010 e92, a 2008 e92, and a 2009 B8 S5.
Still leaning 135. And it is obviously the best priced. I'll have enough funds to immediately do some major mods right from the start. We'll see.
I'm hoping to take my phone mount and record some videos.
